with the excception of bikers, bapho and momiji (because she is
pretty dumb tbf), I can't see how lnds would be as stupid as the
other types while almost everything has tools to stop them (esp
melees). Some arts can even ignore their CV nowadays...

Lagwarp and stunlocks are stupid. I've maintained this opinion forever: any mechanics that can effectively stop you from doing ANYTHING for prolonged period of time is anti-fun and has no place in almost any game, and LND melees in CB have been the epitome of that for a very long time (even with odd units from other types stealing that thunder in recent times, but at least you can run away in most cases)

I mean, I can give lnd gunners a pass but they have no real relevance in the "meta" outside of Nora anyways, not to mention that the people who still play them in any serious manner are... well, in single digits, even that may be a bit too generous.

Lag is not directly related to units and it makes
everything stupid, not only lnds. If you ask me,
laggy airs are way more cancerous than everything...

I have no opinion about stunlock besides the fact that
it worth nothing if you can't even reach the target and
even then, it's still hard to kill things with this since you
have to get exposed most of the time while everyone shoot
at you from a safe distance...

We ARE on the "international" server, so in the context of CBEN, it is stupid. Melee as a mechanic is stupid, not just the stunlocking, but how it interacts with latency, and LND just happen to be the face of melee, as such, it's stupid.

And for the latter point, if you play a defensive game: always sitting within arm's reach of rest of your dimwitted team and healer, then sure, melee is probably irrelevant, and then it brings forward another problem: They serve as a deterrent for any attempted aggression from non-Air individuals, which translates to dull and slow stalemates not unlike what Supports nowadays create. That, in essence, is stupid.

And this may not be as relevant to bullshit nowadays as they did back years ago: Melees are countered or be countered, there's no in-between. Whereas I can fight a LND gunner with ART, fight a AIR with LND, this is nowhere near as plausible when it comes to Melee vs everything else. You can argue how this is of no relevance because this is a team game, but 1v1 scenarios still happen no matter what you play and how you play them.

well, unless you have some quad BS or aqua jet BS to hit on the arts and airs OR you could just go metal gear simulator with your melee unit. fun shit actually.

There're some really wrong LNDs out there. Most being melee, but a broken LND gunner is totally possible to.

Edit! @Topic: rolled a Crugis. That is a very interesting flying animation. I'm not sure if I like his weapons as much as I thought I would. His AMs are pretty nice. I expected them to work completely different though. Not sure what to think of that core, or the LG part....

All the types have their own stupid stuff that you wish did not exist.examples mentioned above either go overboard with with a feature and everything else feel like stone age weapons or ignored the the weakness and effective triangle of the types.
