the problem is that an entire team goes after them only to fail and get pushed by enemy team

Honestly, if I'm their target it's not worse to chase them, you have no choice either way if no one puts them away, either die, hope they move away (which they won't unless someone chases them) or chase them and perhaps use that to make sure they don't hit anyone else (and try to deny them score).

The whole argument used against is essentially "If I'm not the target", and yeah sure, if you are not the target they aren't an issue for you, therefore no need to chase them, meanwhile for those that are being targeted they are essentially screwed, because you, their team mate, is ignoring the issue that is eating your teammates away because you and other like you aren't putting any pressure on this enemy so they can do as they please.

But don't see this as "people are bad", rather this shows how bullshit this game is. If you ignore the problem your team will lose players or even if they aren't directly fragged by the bike they already lost part of their HP which will lower their lifespan and makes offence have gaps from time to time and might as well end up crumbling because not all players will be reaching the front and the front won't replenish fast enough. If you spend the time chasing them and there isn't good places to bait them to or units that can reliably end them the team will constantly walk back which can be bad in some maps (in other maps it can actually work against the enemy due to the PS spawn points), though here it depends on how many people chase them, because if it's 1 player that can't hit the bike but can pressure the bike enough to make it so the bike doesn't hit as often and runs into mistakes it's not a bad thing (this can also be used to bait them, which can be useless if the entire team ignores the bike and your bot isn't good at dealing constant hits), each team is counting with 1 less player and the bike isn't doing any more damage to the team, but yes, more than 3 people after 1 bike and not killing/scaring them isn't good.

The problem isn't what people do, whatever you do will lead to a loss if the starting condition is "the bike can't be hit", because any option will lead to losses, ignore them or not, if the bike can't be killed or scared away, your team is losing in both cases. And honestly you are being a scumbag if you tell people to ignore something that is melting them and constantly stunning and debuffing them, you are basically telling people to stop playing and just give points to the bike because not everyone is you, not everyone is flying or lagging 10 million miles away from everything, because if you aren't being targeted someone else is, and there is no solution to this problem, rather you are making this problem worse for everyone that is a target, even worse when people that can actually kill this things are too busy ignoring them because they are "dead weight" even though this dead weight is actually making your team lose, but oh right, I forgot this is a solo game, you can ignore my post.

All this "ignore because" won't save anyone from a bike, it's a shit advice. And all you try to justify only makes you a scumbag just as big as the bike, you accepted the bullshit and now you are making those that are being fucked guilty of something they aren't guilty of, you are shitting on those that are already being shat on, you are making an already bad game even less enjoyable for them.

And there's no problem in entire teams chasing bikes, the problem is CS not applying low lat to the entire server because there's a big problem if no one in an entire team can hit a bike (but then again, you can have an entire team that can't hit through a Thoarla barrier. See what I did there? You probably didn't.).

tl;dr, it doesn't matter if you ignore them or not, or why you ignore them, you are part of the problem.

But let me improve your argument. "If there's already people shooting at the bike, ignore the engagement if your loadout can't affect said bike. If you are the person being chased by the bike and your weapons can't hit them reliably enough, GET REKT."

Actual advice though, don't ignore bikes straight away, test the waters first, don't be a scumbag. Not every thing that moves fast is going as fast, has the same hitbox or has the same latency, some bikes can be hit by things that usually would miss them, don't be a scumbag and at least see if you can kill them first, instead of giving shit advice like "ignore them".

I never said "ignore straight away", I just said to not waste time/ammo/dps if you already
know you can't do shit against it. And yes, it's true, if you are being the target and can't do
much against them, it's a problem, that's why I always complained about them and that's why
I think they are even worse than bapho. Against bikers, your team is almost always fucked anyway
especially when nobody can take care of the problem, so the best option is to try to fuck with their
team before they fuck with your team, that's why I think it's better to just focus on something else
that you can kill, unless if you are confident that you can hunt down the bikers.

The problem is that there's no right way to play against them when you don't have something that
can reliaby hit/stop them, lag makes it even worse. Don't blame me for it, blame CS, they made this
stupid bullshit.

anyway, it's better to lose 1 teamate being targeted by the biker than lose the whole team DPS
being aggroed by said biker while their team come to fuck us and GG...

Jokes aside though. I didn't mean to say that they're dead weight per se, or that you should "ignore them" all the time. Just that str bikes aren't as potent as some people seem to think (especially for players who prefer ranged combat). Never said they weren't hard to hit (personally I can't w/o fat ass aoe). You do have a lot of valid points.

There's no better really, your team DPS already is suffering from the get go.

if you're being locked by a biker, just go to the nearest water. that was your best chance to help yourself and your team at the least to deal with the pesky biker.

Seems like CS did a ninja buff on Ena. Well, it isn't much but... no slow debuff when using her bit. But the speed buff isn't there anymore either if someone rides her.

When you see a bike and you can't effectively deal with it apply "Counter pressure" no matter how small it is since its better than actually doing "Nothing"

First To be clear on the ignore them kind of gameplay it is not the ideal way to deal with bikes at least from what i have seen when the bikes were introduced into the game for the first time but it do apply to a certain little speed Devil that came with the bikers yes i am talking about cannon Baller DR

with an extremely high bike like mobility and tiny hit box it is a pain in the ass to hit this bastard at one point in a random match i have seen my entire team shamefully chasing this little shit across a room without landing solid hits on him and if you are not convinced people already posted shots barging about scoring in the top positions just because this bot share the same broken ability as the bikes

however thankfully his offensive power sucks which place him as a little big harasser in the arena at worst and support formations breakers at best but it is the only bot that you can deny it score by ignoring it and his weapon cant even destroy a PS to lower the team overall BP

i guess that is how things got confused between the two

the bikes on the other hand are a different story from my experience with them in arena they are like ninjas with aggressive hit and run tactics if you are an air for example and ran out of boost you are prone to get  kissed by a bike the longer you stay on the ground and loose some HP but most of the time it happen in a fraction of a second

if you are a land melee you will get slapped on the face from time to time but at least if you are a CV melee with good tracking you can return the slap every time it approaches you

if you are an ordinary ART without hard hitting weapons then god help you unless there are team mates nearby they will agro you to death

whenever i bump into one there is a chance that i can return the hit but it is not that frequent the bikes strikes itself are not that frequent and not that HP melting because most of the bots in today meta game have no less than 600 HP at least without counting the armor drive bonuses if you lose like 100 HP because of the bike it is not that big of a deal because there is a chance that you might have a medic pack already or find a support bot nearby

beyond that point chasing them can be futile and you will risk loosing your time and ammo if your weapons can`t hit them or you don`t have something in mind to do pressure on the bikes      

the only time where bikes can be super frustrating and game dominating is at the climax of a match when they start to farm critically low hp retreating targets one by one those bots have already acclaimed costs beyond their original cost pool if all of them die it will dramatically flip the table on you and shift the battle tide further in favor of the opposite team which result is a crushing defeat most of the time

any bike is tuned with no less than 800 HP without counting armor drive and because of their speed they can survive in a match almost indefinitely if there is no weapons to hit them which open the doors for alot of bullshit that can be summed up in the following

1- at the start of the match they will agro your team and decease the overall HP of any unit they hit if there is no weapons that can deal with them but it is not that significant still and can be dealt with as i pointed out

2-in the middle of the match they will fuck with support bots and destroy their formations and they may even frag both the supported and the supporter on some occasions

3- near the end they will destroy any form of territorial control which is essential in deciding the outcome of a match which go hand in hand with farming low HP targets that drop your team BP to oblivion

not to mention that this bullshit is even more jarring in card campaigns and countering it require team cooperation on all levels starting with advanced luring strategies and ending with weapon setups that can counter them which is nonexistent sadly which lead to the inevitable shity mentality of ignore them and you will be fucking fine

as CBEN we are more diverse than the original Japanese community that plays this game so by default we should play much better than them but the racism excessive fagotry hatred the declining sense of morals and the language barrier destroyed something that could have made this game more tolerable and enjoyable than it is now
