I found out a neat Mecha anime. Sadly, not cute, but has some awesome stuff to it.
It's called
Gad Guard.
Gad Guard takes place in a future where Coal and Oil has become a lot more scarce, and global warming has reduced the size of most continents. When humans come across these technological artifacts called "Gads," which react to the strong feelings of another person, given there is considerable sources of metal around first. The Gads react in three different ways, depending on the person who activates it, which can form three types of mechanical entities known as "Techodes."
-If the person who activates a Gad is of pure heart and strong will for good intent, it then sucks in all the metal around it, until it has enough to form into a 20ft tall Mecha called a Techode. The Techodes are powered by the emotional bond from the person who activated it, and will serve them loyally. All of the Techodes are named after WWII fighter planes too. The heroes in it use their Techodes to fight evil.
-If a Gad however, is activated by someone who isn't truly of pure heart or has a strong enough will (like a Young Boy or a less-determined bystander), it will instead become an A-Techode. A-Techodes are more like robotic monsters formed in a different manner, and they don't follow any orders, even from the one who activated them. They are pretty much Neutral to Evil, and are the main enemies.
-The last kind. If a Gad is activated by someone truly evil and malicious (worse than one who activates an A-Techode), it will become instead a Gadrian. Gadrians are even worse in that they absorb in and kill the person who activated them too, causing them to become Biomechanical Eldritch Abominations. They are completely evil, and among the heroes's strongest foes.
The main protagonist is a delivery boy named Hajiki Sanada, who accidentally activates a Gad that then becomes a Techode called "Lightning." He later finds that he's not the only one who has activated the Gads too. He then joins with a bunch of other Techodes to face against the A-Techodes and Gadrians, and discover their secrets.
Sounds awesome? I personally find it even better than Valvrave.
