hard range limit.

so i was messing around with an aqua parasol and got almost 600 range on it. (15% 15% 15%, too lazy to log in for an exact number atm). And yet, I seem to be outranged by anything I lock on to. Sure doesn't feel like 600 range. It makes me think there's a hard limit of around 400. And even with sniper sight and broad radar, they seem to see me first before I see them...which is why I think the actual lock on is around 400 ish.

get a friend with a 400 range weapon, see if he and you lock on at the same time.

yep, its 400. so no point in going over 400 range unless you're istina or that other sniper chick.

Doesn't quite explain how some users of Alcy can shoot you from beyond the draw distance.

Turn up your "Max Objects" setting. This setting also affects your draw distance.

I have a 3 Great Rapid Alpha Psycho Formula psygun head. It still locks on at the stated range, however it does not give you a visual lock.. (red around the target..) hell, it targets way past my draw distance. The only way that I knew it was still locking on at that range was that the head would move from its default position when it was tracking a unit that I could only see on Broad Radar.. and, yes, missiles still homed in to that range, but it took twelve years for them to arrive.. and a Long Range buff allowed it to fire across the Temple Site pit.
