Should I return to this game?

Title says all.

Here's a few questions I have that may/may not affect my decision:
1) Are there any events going on that I should know about?
2) What's the playerbase like? Is the avg. at around 100 players, or did it go up?
3) Is the issue of OP bots still there? This was already common when I last played, and it probably is still a problem.
4) Had Cyberstep finally allowed F2P players to get new bots now, besides the ones that were already there since forever?

The biggest reason I wanna come back is because I had always enjoyed the gameplay of this game. But, as a F2P player, I would always get wrecked by veterans with the lottery bots. I was able to tolerate it, but only to an extent. I might still be fine not being the top, but I still wanna enjoy the game.

1. Some gay anime collab.
2. The game is as dead as ever.
3. OP units are still an issue, and it's worse than ever.
4. There was a big update to the shop that added gara units. While those cost Rt, bots that costed Rt and were in the shop before the update got UC versions.

I see... this will be a problem for me.

EDIT: Fk it, I got nothing else I wanna do now. Guess I'll come back and play a few matches.

They also added new mats and tunes for core parts. Some are lol-tier cosmetics (sparkling effects, etc), but some are cancerous-as-fuck utility tunes (you can now extend Moving Burst duration on any bot with the MB cartridge in example).

Everything does seem to be improving, over time.. except CBEN's server and its lazy GMs. They even recently buffed a lot of old weapons like Titan Bazooka and Negatron Rifle. Arena has even been getting more additions like we had a room where only Beezles, Cannon Ballers and Froglanders could join.. and for two weeks we had an L size only bot room. Now, they've added an entirely new type of arena match.

..but, if you already lost your patience and quit, once, I doubt you'd stick around very long, now. There are still things that will hit you for almost 300 in one hit.. or in a stunlocking combo.. or in one alphastrike.

I'd say give it a try. Idk if Thanks Gras are still around, but you could a least farm the ticket from the legion room (upgraded training mode l0l) and spin that. There's a mecha section if you NEED to be a mecha, but then again, the moe section (you'll get only one ticket and it are actually two garas full of either moe or mecha), the moe prize-list is almost void of balanced bots, while the mecha one can troll you pretty hard (iirc it even has meteora).

Ah... I remember now. yeah, those guys pissed me off a lot. I bared with it before, and I can do it again. This will be my, what, 4th, 5th time now?

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I already know that the moe bots are OP as fk. I still remember when I got pwned by Seraph Crimose years ago (can't believe that this game is still surviving).

You had a chance to obtain thanks tickets and roll from this thanks ticket garapon that featured a bunch of moes and mechas.

Don't waste your time coming back to the game thats all I have to say honestly.

F2P players have problems with OP bots when they don't seriously tune and just stick to one playstyle rather than having enough to counterpick certain bot class and maps. F2P player here too and I am just doing very well. Shop bots and shop weapons and quest event bots/parts seems enough  to make a decent lineup.

It also depends on, strategy and knowing what the hell you're doing.
