| Check out the spoiler - Spoiler:
Alright, straightly and bluntly, how to make the hiragana become available? ._. If it requires download, can you please give the details what file to download, and if possible, include the link in the reply @.@ Sorry if this is kinda bothersome =.= Thanks, Vareluxe edit: I'm currently refreshing this page every 5 minutes. Thanks

| Hmm... alright.... i think i'll make a Guide.
*writes one up*
Installation of Language Support
-When 'should-be' Japanese/Chinese/Korean Characters appear as boxes on your computer, you need this. Guide for Windows XP :
[>]Locate "Regional and Language Options" on your Control Panel. [>]Next click on Languages Tab, You should see 2 Check Boxes in the "Supplemental Language Support" box. [>]Click on "Install files for East Asian Languages" [>]Windows will prompt the required files for this, either located on your Windows XP Install Disc (Your Original Install Disc) or downloaded from the internet (around 400-500mb) [>]Let the installation take place and your Computer might ask for a Computer Restart, Restart your computer. [>]Your computer should now be able to read UTF-8 format characters (Your Asian Characters)

| I have the same problem, and I believe I may have just fixed it.
[1] Regional Settings [2] Click on the Advanced tab [3] On the long list, make sure Japanese is ticked. [4] On the non-unicode dropout bar, select Japanese. [5] Restart
I have yet to restart, as I was installing a MUI. Ill be back in a few minutes to report the situation. |

| This can't be very good. My theory is wrong.
I've also tried applocale, and MUI packs, all show very little difference.
Installing the MUI sort of made a difference for me, if you want to try it out, seeing as it may work on some people;
First get and install http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=D3F8F6AB-84F1-4095-8709-DF509B1BEE22&displaylang=en
Then get and install http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/0/7/E0783F9C-D67B-4EE1-84C6-B3A945A7F891/WindowsXP-KB841625-x86MUI-JPN.exe |

Googling tells you to install the language, which doesnt work more than half the time. I had found my methods searching in korean in japanese, in which it had good results. Problem is, most searches returned with how to fix it on Win2k. |

| "Update Windows"
Thats byfar the worse thing you can do. You're better off installing a russian version of Windows Vista 16 bit while trying downloading from Limewire for 24 hours straight with all firewalls and antivirii off.
