Rinka Lynx BR

I score a hit maybe once every 3 or 4 shots, her mines don't seem to have a practical purpose, there doesn't seem to be any way to quickly deactivate ESP sight and I can't hit strafing targets at all.

Am I doing something wrong other than acquiring Rinka directly after a nerf?

you don't aim rinka

learn which shots will hit and only shoot when you know they will hit.
rinka auto-aims but the spawn placment of the shots has been adjusted so they are harder to hit.
there is STILL no aiming involved.

So, I guess the question is what I should be gunning for? I can't seem to hit the AIRs which I target, and I'm not really hunting anything else, as the damage drops substantially.

hit other arts, airs that are about to land, and uh.. Probably not hopping lands. Basically anything that's standing still :v Or going to stand still. Powerspot heals are good too.

What Yoku said + anything that is reliant on Wonder Bits (i.e. Nicole Perse, Mialy). You can also use the Disorder to scare off ARTs, this can backfire however (in worst case you get them angry and they start to approach you from mid range which is not your comfort zone of course), LREs and the likes are nice targets to.

put the land mine inside a cave. where any enemy Evil land user sneaking around.

your positioning is key in determining what you can and cannot hit.

Something moving directly towards or away from you(ie, along your line of fire) will almost always get hit.
The larger the difference between your line of fire and the movement of the target, the less chance you have of hitting it.
Range doesn't matter, but the movement speed of the target does.

finding the right place to stand to make sure that when enemy airs retreat they line up with your shots will allow you to hit them pretty hard.

Mm... I've been thinking about a sidearm, cuz once something realizes I'm there and gets close, I tend to get worked over. Any recommendations?

handy bazooka is a good close range side arm.
if you have a aqua parasol railgun, you can use it as your main damage gun and use sniper rifle for finishing off retreating targets.

swaping weapon to aqua parasol will take a time, i dont think that necessary because any time land stalker with broadradar always pop out in front of you.
i just equip cosmic cola & handy magnum to farm ammo from cactus & Ghost three.
some trick :
1. your main target as rinka is always always always aim standing slow enemy artilery and also support unit like melfi and regina because its your main foood for rinka.
2. always tab radar to relocate the enemy and reposition your aiming spot.
3. long ranges chibi is your friend to make your shoot more brutal than usual.
4. tune more fly to run away and climb higher place.

Rinka already overanges anytipe art, dont affraid to shot them.

you have no good way to switch weapons(unlike original rinka). Bit is really your best option - you should be easily able to pop it when someone gets in range and then run the fuck away.
i just use MR's multigrenade since it's one of the best escape subweapons in the game.

if you want to buy a shop rinka and tune that and stick the rifle on it, you can go ahead. You'll be without claymores but you'll have access to quickswap with the knife.
Handy bazooka is tried and true.
Mini blast bazooka is good vs airs if you have it.
slice gun(mod) is good vs lands if you have it.
cross shooter is just a good weapon in general though it's probably not the best thing for this.
Or you can tune para in a handy magnum and use that.

Claymores don't get much use when I play her. The only time I use them is when there's one route to my position and I can set one up there, so I get both a heads up and a head start when somebody's coming.

The shop Rinka idea sounds great, though. I'll have to look into that.

Use mines to deactivate ESP sight.

That's all I do with them, see something running up on me with Broad, mine shoots you back and they eat it in the face.
