Open GL problem

I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family with Win8 and I want to play this game. Unfortunately, when I open it, I get this:



I've checked the official Intel site for drivers and they seem to not make any for this graphics card on Windows 8. Is there a way for me to play this game with my current setup without having to install Win7?

Please help! Thank you very much.


PS: Other games work fine.
PPS: safe mode doesn't work either.

oh boy... did ya install DirectX12? you might need big packages of DirectX installed. as for openGL, internet media accelerator from their website.

Intel are a-holes and are refusing to make anymore drivers for my graph card for future OS's... They don't even make the internet media accelerator for it anymore. I need to find a modded one...

why are you on a Windows 8 in the first place?

Did you check if your video card can be supported by NVidia Drivers?

Found a fix. Basically, Win8 is much like W7 so you COULD run W7 drivers on W8. However, it won't allow it JUST BECAUSE OF REASONS. I KNOW, RIGHT? W8 comes with a pre-installed driver version and you have to install an older one to run this game.

EDIT: this method MIGHT bring forth the "test version windows 8 bla bla" watermark on the right hand corner EVEN IF YOUR WINDOWS IS GENUINE (it did it for me). This is how you make it go away:

it's like windows 7 but slightly more inconvenient. even moreso if you have an old pc.

usually the case when going win win 8 (when trying to play CB ) is just hit ' run safe mode ' in the launcher. it should work, unless you get this error before you even get to the launcher.
