I'm actually a bit sad to see this game go. Brings back so many memories. My friends and I would play this all the time when we were 10 years old. Back when we were too young and immature to realize how bad this game really was. But yeah, it's easy to see why it's closing. Lack of new content, players getting bored and leaving, game not making much money.
Anyways, you aren't allowed to create a new account, but if you remember your login you can enjoy unlimited access for free until shutdown. All restrictions lifted.
