Wind Run with Hops Empty

Out of curiosity, did anyone ever try using wind runner while midair with hopping? I'm a little sick of relying on Ninja Run (plus it drains boost while I run while shooting zzz so no invisi, still boosting) and wondered if it was a decent alternative..

Wind runner sucks ass. It moves you a miniscule distance and drains your boost gauge. Acts kind of like accel roll, but shitty.
