First thing, paralyze is not a choice on MLG, reason is MLG dmg is from two parts, direct hit dmg(32)+explode dmg when landing(16)(all beam dmg) = 48dmg that shown on the weapon, and because of the high dmg output, you will quite easily to spin stun enemies and apply an invincible time to them, and your second part of your dmg will not land, increase you stun value will decrease your chance to do the second dmg which lost you around 33%of the dmg. MLG is basically a good to stun weapon by high basic dmg, paralyze is unnecessary.
Second thing, learn the range:speed ratio of non-homing weapons. The ratio will be 1:1.5 to 1:2, thats mean with a 300 range weapon you need to have 450-600 speed otherwise you never hit a moving target at around 300 range, according to the ammo hit-box size, smaller size, the higher speed you want to have. MLG ammo size is some kind of big size, so 1:1.5 is basically enough. With plasma gun, you will need 1:2. Calculate by yourself and get your own answer.
For me, i went 2xG-Rapid BETA 1xG-Force ALPHA to keep the 1:1.5 ratio just an example for you.
