My freind TimODeath got me into custom painting my own bots. Anyone know different editing software than the in game editor and paint?

Well there's Verafice's skinning tool... lets you put custom images onto bots... But Idk where it's at.

That's more for just converting color palettes more easily though, isn't it?

Unless the new one has an actual painting function, I haven't messed with it yet.

Yeah. It just shuffles the image colors until it can (somewhat) fit the pallete into the 15 colors CB allows. Kinda works, but kinda doesn't.

GIMP is probably going to be the easiest way for you to edit the PNG's files outside of the game.

As for Verafice's palette optimizer, you can find a recent version here:

Yes and I actually have a custom skin that goes on all my units almost.

I just tried out Verafice's old version of Skintool.
My test was a picture of School Elisa onto Long Flag.

as for me I either leave my bots unpainted (clashing parts be damned) or paint them all pink and call it a day

... okay well I painted b-ball shooter in phoenix suns colours but he's like the exception ok

I just paint... in game. It's really the easiest way.

I paint my bots, mostly just to match the accessories or the moebot's hair....

1. Do the work in-game editor rough
2. Paint program to edit the color of the 16th. (Can not edit in-game editor)

Verafice's skin tool also changes the image to a png. File for easier use.

I sometimes make my own custom skins. I find that GIMP works well (I often export the default skin texture for ease of use), and Verafice's skin tool is required to make it work.
