Sorry to disappoint you all but I am korean, not Chinese or Japanese therefore I can't read all that kanji. However, I can roughly work out with my japanese that this new series is coming out spring 2011.

Since all the characters have all passed on (D: Kanade DDD:)
It would be impossible to use those characters again.

And therefore there are completely new characters, scripts and so on...

According to my Level 3 Japanese, the characters are

Kiwamura
Mai
Taba/meba/Moba (Sorry don't know which kun to use)
Rei
Etc etc...

Although this has little relevance, it tells you at the end season 2 is confirmed. By the way, they're talking about mapo tofu there and the song at ep 13.

Nice to know a second season is coming. All the more reason for me to finally get around to watching this anime. (I can never seem to get anything done anymore. Since I usually end up forgetting until I'm reminded....) Managed to see the first episode though and it really got me interested in seeing the anime through. Just havn't gotten around to it yet.

Remember when I made that comment about me not getting around to watching this anime? Well I got around to it and I loved the first season so I'm really looking forward to the next one Although I found the ending semi- depressing considering how most of the characters got seperated but the scene after the credits made the ending great! I've heard about a second epilogue and I'd love to see that.......if I could find it >...
