Overwatches - Clears in the Chatbox

Rei told me to make a topic about my request, so here it is.

I'd like for Overwatches to be able to do clears in the chatbox. Why? Because sometimes there are cancerous images/pornographic links and there aren't mods or an admin in the box, and contacting an admin or a mod can be tricky/time-consuming. However, there's almost always an Overwatch in the box.

Pros:
Overwatches can do more positive things!
Less waiting for cancer/porn links/images to go away.
More administration/regulation?

Cons:
Err...They might spam clears?
The naughty Overwatches might come into the chatbox more often.

I'm pretty sure Admin can set user-specific permissions.

I don't think we need anymore power.

We're fine as we are because if anyone is spamming the chatbox, we'd report them to mods and admins and they can deal with the problem.

I don't think the naughty overwatches even get on the forum ANYWAY.

That's barely any power at all.

No, we're not fine. I've been on several times where there's been an active naughtylink and we couldn't contact a mod/admin, so the link just sat there. being evil. Or the chatbox breaks, and there's no one to clear it. Or there's a gif causing lag and there's no one to clear it. Seeing the trend? ;__;

It happens enough times that it's obnoxious.

Honestly they have about 0 power as of now, aside from having the ability to submit SPESHUL reports and see a few extra forum areas.

This'd be okay with me aslong as this power is given to more responsible Overwatch.

I think the suggestion is good.

I've always thought that they could do it already.
Being an Overwatch feels useless .___.'
