Subject: CyberStep's "Source of Inspiration" for moebots. Sun Apr 22, 2012 2:07 pm
So, wondering if anyone else noticed anything as far as their designs go.
As for me, i find these pretty similar, if not identical:
Eris(Source: Initium Promo)
Spoiler:
Reinforce(Source: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, Also known as "The Book of Darkness" or "Tome of the Night Sky", drawn by "Ment") First appearance: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's Manga September 2005.
Spoiler:
Haruka Langit(Source: CB Website Character info)
Spoiler:
Haruka Amami(Source: THE iDOLM@STER, picture from THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) First Appearance: THE iDOLM@STER Arcade game, July 26, 2005. And Wing Gundam Zero Custom(Source: Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz) First Appearance: New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, January 25, 1997.
Spoiler:
And cant help but wonder about this similarity:
Rone Amabile(Source: CB Website Character info)
Spoiler:
Super Sonico(Also known as Super Soniko, picture: Super Sonico cosplaying as a certain someone, by rabbit19) First Appearance: Nitro Super Sonico Music Festival 2007
Spoiler:
Also feels that i've seen resha somewhere, but since her appearance is kinda generic it's hard to tell.

Talk about Reinforce, but not about Hayate's weapon and book.
But eh, this is just dumb.

Hadn't connected the dots on that one.
But well tought i'd start an interesting discussion, ended up touching a deep seated community trauma.
Guess i'll have to let this die out.

She's copied so hard from Ragnarok Online's archbishop it hurts; there was a thread on JP commu I saw a month or two back showing that even her idle pose was copied from archbishop artwork. She's not just an aesthetic clone either; Amot Vainic is a direct clone of Kyrie Eleison, and she's given the option of taking a melee route a la Duple Light battle priest builds.
...Vox Altus's spear reminds me of the lightning bolt used in Adoramus too, but that comparison's probably a bit too forced.

Haruka's wings look nothing like that, nor does she look like the other Haruka.
And there are plenty of others you could have listed... that have been discussed about 1000 times already, such as loli vampire Nemlim Mellow with fat bat = loli vampire Rachel Alucard with fat bat. And especially the most common one...

Eris :White haired moe with dark wings, nothing new here guys seriously this is a pretty much stereotypical character.
Haruka: Oh my goodness short brown hair is such a totally rare trait they must've copied her!
Rone: Pink-haired bard is a stereotypical character design too, nothing new here.

I always had that thought Mialy's railgun reminds me of the Tau Cannon from Half-Life.
