So funny, I loved the first episode.
There was an obvious pokemon reference, and the ecchi moments were very very delicious.
But then I feel a bit shocked for the following reasons...
1. Nyaruko-san acts the same way as I would IRL. 2. SHE'S LIKE A MOE VERSION OF ME (personality wise). OH GAWD WHY?! = A =; 3.

1. Nyaruko saves Mahiro from a Nightgaunt, Nyaruko is introduced 2. Nyaruko not shutting up. DAT Iron Striver! 3. DAT FORK 4. Talk about H.P. Lovecraft and Cthulhu mythos 5. Nyaruko orgasming over anime, manga and games. 6. DAT FORK 7. Reference to something, I'm not sure what. Has a bit of Nazi chic 8. A wild Nightgaunt appears! Blood and violence 9. Cthuga is introduced 10. Nyaruko transfers into Mahiro's school 11. A normal looking lunch made by Nyaruko using abnormal ingredients for lunch. 12. BLT - Byahkee, Lloigor, Tsathoggua (supposed to be Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) 13. A wild Nightgaunt appears 14. Pokemon reference, Shantak-kun is introduced. Shantak-kun is summoned with a pokeball 15. Nightgaunt killed, Mahiro's sanity points go down the drain. 16. Mahiro taking a bath, Nyaruko being perverted and barges in hoping to wash his back etc. etc.

Highlights of Episode 2:
1. One Piece reference 2. Engagement Ring? 3. Typical hopeless losing battle. 4. Delicious Forced Yuri scene 5. Epic and Generic Japanese Super Hero action fight 6. Dirty Old man and his love for Yaoi. 7. Typical "Good Bye and I'll never see you again" scene that you see in the romance genre 8. Nyaruko being perverted, and very explicit sex talk. 9. "Lets Make Babies, Touch & Direct" 10. DAT FORK

1. Another Nyarlathotep is introduced. He's the "Vengeful idiot who gets pwned multiple times" character stereotype. 2. Nyaruko being perverted again, talking about role playing as Mahiro's sister. Wanting to be an imouto-chan and an onee-san at the same time. 5. Shantak-kun~! So cute! 6. Kuuko enters as a transfer student (usual cliche anime school life bullshit plot device) 7. Sailormoon reference through Nyaruko's hairstyle 8. The Nyarlathotep from the start of the episode appears again, being accused as a panty thief. (Something that usually, if not always happens to every Vengeful idiot in anime) 9. Steaming hot lesbian in the pool 10. Egg dishes cooked by Nyaruko for lunch. Eggs were laid by Shantak-kun. O A O 11. Nyaruko's gununu face. :3 12. Full Metal Alchemist reference. "The Law of Equivalent Exchange" 13. Epic Battle, DAT CHAINSAW. Yahiro gets hurt so he goes to the nurses office. 14. Nyaruko being perverted, hoping to catch Mahiro in bed but Kuuko wrapped in ribbons is there instead. (Bait and switch, another cliche anime plot device) 15. Tales of Symphonia reference. "Pain will only last an instant". - Said by Nyaruko when transforming Shantak-kun into an epic motorbike! AWESOME. 16. The vengeful idiot Nyarlathotep is revealed to be Nyaruko's older brother, "Nyaro". 17. Nyaro's a complete wuss, gets thrown aside after getting a motorbike rammed into his toe. 18. Kuuko becomes a resident of Yahiro's house 19. Yahiro's mum returns home in only 40 SECONDS. (She will appear next episode)

(See episode 2 for that epic foreshadowing) 6. Shady green haired glasses woman arrives in the neighborhood. 7. A blue eyed blonde girl? appears! 8. Yes/No cushion. Both lead to sex with Nyaruko. 9. Nyaruko and Kuuko fighting over the cushion. 10. Scary Mother with the Fork 11. Mahiro bumps into the new girl? 12. Epic battle posing with Nyaruko and Kuuko (Don't know what it is referencing) 13. Story behind the "Musuko-nium" 14. Mahiro bumps into the blonde girl? again and takes her? out to grab some food 15. The Blonde girl? knows Nyaruko and Kuuko, his name is revealed to be Hasuta (Hastur, the deity of the wind) 16. Hasuta-kun... IT'S A TRAP! 17. Hasuta was looking for Mahiro's mum. Eh LXE, i noticed another reference in episode 4.
When Mahiro's mother shows everyone her hunter guide, the cover contains the ancient painting of Lagiacrus, a monster from Monster Hunter Tri. Her costume is another reference to the Monster Hunter Series too.
And to think one of my favorite Wii games appeared. JOY!
Edit: While Kuuko and Mahiro's mother were laying together, she warned about the use of a sonic bomb, a grenade weapon from Monster Hunter Tri! DOUBLE JOY!!

In Episode 5, there's a Code Geass reference. Nyaruko says "Yes, my lord".
