Would be awesome to know which bits are best for which playstyle, and LND/AIR/ART.
Support too, maybe. If you don't use repair bits.

PostSubject: Re: Guide on the Types of Bits for Every Class   Guide on the Types of Bits for Every Class EmptyTue Oct 05, 2010 8:55 pm

for LND I use dual slayer bits... dual axe is ok too for some melee (i see Ivis with them now n again)

for AIR I use either propeller (extra long fly time), dual blasters, or dual beam... dual laser works too sometimes.

for ART I prefer dual rifle bits.. dual missiles are good but cant target above or below them worth crap...

for SUP you have a wide selection of bits since they can use all but propeller (which is AIR only).
if your going melee SUP, dual slayers are good, ranged SUP benefit from dual rifles, if you wanna be crafty.. and have good communication and a good team.. you could use a SUP with teleport bits... place one near spawn.. and if you have stealth, sneak behind enemy lines and have ppl teleport to you using the bit... there are other options too depending on what SUP bot your using.

Time to write down a guide on every single bit!

This will take some time.

Like the description says, the Dual Laser Bit doesn't last for very long. But they are one of the best bits for a Air unit ever. When you have both beams hitting someone, they're going to die very quickly.

But there are a few things to keep in mind, which will help you use this bit to it's full potential.

-It's not so good vs. other air units UNLESS you manage to chase them, usually because they have low hp or you've somehow got them running. When you're chasing any type of unit, this bit really shines.

-Using a gun that continuously fires is the best way to use this bit mid-fight. What I mean by this is that if you use such a weapon, you will continue facing the target and your bits will have a much better chance of actually hitting them. They do turn a little, but it's not nearly as accurate.

-One of the best ways to kill an Ivis which is attacking your allies is to use a laser. Though you might not have one equipped, so the Dual Laser Bit will come in handy for this situation. Just keep a bit of distance from this Ivis and continue to face it, doing circles around it is also a great way to use the bit. Unlike most other projectiles, the lasers will never miss the Ivis as long as you face it. Arty users will love you for taking out their greatest threat. (!)

So they don't last long, but their damage is top tier. You are guaranteed a frag once you have this bit up and running.

PostSubject: Re: Guide on the Types of Bits for Every Class   Guide on the Types of Bits for Every Class EmptyWed Oct 13, 2010 5:56 am

Vulcan Unit: Sets down what looks like a box. When an enemy comes in range, opens up to reveal tons of barrels and spams bullets at your enemy. Low range, high damage. A good use for this is if you're a sniper and need something to be a lookout for you. However, due to the low range it might be too late when it engages something behind you!

Sniper Unit: Sets down a propped Rifle that looks somewhat similar to the lamp in the Pixar logo when you view those cartoon movies like Toy Story. High range, okay damage, low rate of fire. It doesn't work too well as a lookout when you're trying to snipe because the thing will often target what you'd be firing at, but still works.

Spike Bit: Spawns a spike that spins around you and damages whichever enemy it touches. Tends to stun the enemy too, but the problem is that this spike spins around quite slowly, so it may be hard to hit something with it unless it's an M/L-size.

Dual Spike Bit: Spawns two spikes instead of one. Spins just as fast as the Spike Bit, but there's two, so it has more damage output compared to the regular Spike Bit.

Pepen/Dual Pepen Bit: Summons two Pepen(penguins) that go around tackling anything around you. The damage isn't that great, but it works as an extra target to distract an enemy. (Of course, Ivis/Ouka can clear them while still in your face, so not that effective against them)

For Rifle Bits, putting them in a Power Spot will make them fire 3 shot bursts. Though sometimes I wish it'd aim at the enemy and not at the Meta-Cactus next to it. Seriously, it prioritizes item-holding environment over an enemy.

Likewise you can bring a chibi-robot and use your own magic circle to power the bit.

Here's another wonder bit:

Haku Circle Bit: Two tiny circles spawn on your left and right, shooting tornadoes (that stun) at people. Nowhere near as effective as the real Haku's from my experience, since it won't hit anything with 20 walk that is running. Also does NOT work on Ivis (but does deal damage to her) since she is immune to stun with Crimson Veil.

Propeller Bit: Two engines appear on both sides and reduce booster usage. One bar of booster drains as slow as 4 or more bars without the bit.

Use it as either escape tactic, or to stay in the air if you need. I don't think it stops booster drain when Seraph's ability is running out, but it allows you to spam dodge moves turning you into a jikun wannabe.

I'm not sure if using the Propeller Bit + Shaden BS makes the boost go down much slower. Can anyone confirm?

Teleporter Bit: Places a tower that when someone right-clicks on it, instantly whisks the person to the position of the one who planted it. Does not drain the Wonder Gauge overtime like most bits, instead consuming the gauge whenever someone uses it. The bit can be used up to 4 times before expiring.

Undead Bit: Places a tower that grants any ally touching it an undead curse. The curse will slowly drain the ally's HP, but will not die when his HP reaches 0, thereby granting him invincibility. As long as he has the curse, he can't die but if the curse wears off, he will die, so he must always touch the Bit to maintain the curse.

Camouflage Bit: Creates a bit that hovers over the user, granting cloaking to him and the area around him. The cloak will only take effect within the following conditions:
1) The allies within the field are grounded.
2) The allies within the field can only walk.
Flying, dashing or running will instantly turn off the cloak.

Undead and Camo Bit sound nasty.

even your hp drop to 0 you will not die until undead effect gone.
so if someone low-on hp and he doesn't want to take long time to heal, he can go undead and go rampage again.

Not all that bad.

Undead bit's effect outside of the bit doesn't last very long. 5-7 secs? is what it felt like to me.

Camo bit on the other hand loses effect the moment you move fast/go out of the area of effect. Attacks also count as movement. The only lasting effect I can think of with it is Heal + Camo so heal doesn't get bothered.

Undead Bit isn't bad, but the "cursed" robos are pretty much stuck to defending the bit, as they'll need it to stay alive, and it is very easy for a bunch of people to focus fire on the bit. It does not help that the bit is very big. Highly suggest that dying ARTs surround the bit, as it'll be easier for them to guard the bit. With melee, they'll probably end up being kited by the enemy long enough to make them forget about their curse.

As for the Camouflage Bit, I think the Bit is still visible, despite keeping everyone under it invisible. When you think about it, you can do some pretty sneaky tactics with this(like, have at least 2 robos with Camouflage Bit, one being the "decoy" with no one really under it while the other one having the main sneak attack force). But yeah, only works if you have allies that are willing to do a tactic other than ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.

Exactly as you said in the Undead bit, meant for a defense not an attack.

If all goes well, the Camo Bit is the only thing that is showing and anything under is invisible. But I would still say it's more on defense since you're not going to be mobile enough for an attack. (Unless your entire team is support and everyone has camo bits. Surrounding the opponent and shoot them when their backs turned, then when they do turn around you disappear while the others shoot him from the back; rinse repeat.)

Get a bunch of Railguns behind enemy lines *shiver*

Using Teleport then camo bit to get them there.

LND : Dual weapon (sword, blunt, ...)
AIR : uh..... does they need any ? Well let's say Propeller bit
ART : same question... Usually double lazer bit (If I'm not mistaken on the name)
SUP : Repairbitandnothingelsedamnya.

Anyway, boss bits for the win !!! ... no ?
(Love beam guns like- Fractalus bit)
