Naming scheme

How do you name your bots?

I usually (not always) name mine after some variation on "Cosmic Break": Cosmic Bread, Cosmic Brake, Cosmiku Break, etc.

I don't.

I name mine in JP names just to scare people usually.

Skin them according to a certain theme, and name accordingly.

ie: The second i saw haruka on wing gara i knew i had to put an idolmaster outfit on her o_o

I name some of my moe bots with names of people a somewhat dislike.

I name mine based on what each character is associated with, or if it's a stupid pun.
For example, my Lios that I got is BRD while I'm in WIZ. Therefore, Lios is renamed to "Uragirimono" which is "traitor."

I name it whatever I feel like.

For me, naming really depends on the bot and what it does. For example, on my Vector Eagle I named it "Vanquish;Zeros" for the sole purpose of being a faggot to ZEROs. Usually, I would leave moebots with their default names, but there are always exceptions.

I don't name all of my bots. Most of my names are completely random, some are inspired by ancient media stuff and some are just a proper description of what that unit is doing o 3o

I don't really rename my bots, unless they bear no resemblance to the original bot. For instance, my destructor CN, where the only destructor part left is the body. I called him Big Papa Laz, which is one of my IRL nicknames. So variations of my name get taken.

The only exception to that is my Jikun Long, which I named Jikun Lag, for obvious reasons.

Other than that, I'm currently working with my wife to re-skin my Nemlim Mellow as Rachel Alucard from Blaz Blue, I'll rename her when I'm done.

Most moebots I left unnamed for a pretty long time, unless it was one I hated (Elisalotte -> "Not Melfi." and Mialy -> slutwhore).

There was more or less no real naming scheme to my mechs, though a lot draw names influenced by Valkyrie Profile or Rosenkreuzstilette.

I usually leave a bot un-named until something just comes to me, usually either themed after it's type(air, lnd, art, sup) or if it's a clever bit of word-play....

For example, my Ghost Raider(ironically, my 1st rt-bot) is named Casper for obvious reasons(including the fact it's also setup for stealth).

Other bots I use will also often carry the 'Pt' suffix to let me know, in my garage, which are test and/or 'prototype' bots, hence the 'Pt'.

The most obvious custom name for me is Pulsycait, a hybrid of the Pulsardio and Bugsycait support types!

Until very recently, all my bots carried a unified color-scheme; dark green, dark blue and an off-yellow shade:

I finally decided to switch things up a bit: The original color-scheme is now exclusively for Support-types, Air-types replace the blue with black(keeping the yellow), Land-types replace blue with grey(again keeping yellow), and Art-types replace blue with red(still keeping yellow)....

A few bots, either rarely used or intended solely as 'joke/fun' bots, will feature some crazy colors...generally after whatever happens to cross my mind....

I have a handful of mechs, all with the same color scheme and given star-related names. (I even have a fanfictiony explanation for it which is related to my Dracken, named Duhr.)

My twin Accel Sabers for Haku runs are both named The Hound. I do hope you like the idea there.

Of course, there's my Blazed Baron, Super Steve.

I named my Lala Ricotte Lota Lico. A little clever rearranging should show you where I got that from.

Other than that, they've all got names based on fanfictiony backstories. Eden (Lily Rain), Cadence (Jikun Long), Flamma, Unda, and Luna (all Nicole Malices), Sadie (Koko Gaap) x3...yeah.

Oh, and the Mog Squad, my "for all the non-moe dispatch missions" set of five Needle Mogs. :3

I name mine based on my values and hobbies. My "Celestial" group names (Celestial Protector, Celestial headbutt, Celestial Shooter, Celestial Sniper, etc) are all named so because I like Astronomy.

A few other robots with varient names (Shino Exroad BETA, Aquila Airs, etc) I name from the highest cosmos affinity (under Omega) which is Epsilon (Shino Exroad EPSILON, Aquila Epsilon, etc).

All other robot names are names my sister gave, which are all related to Black Rock Shooter.
