So.... what can anyone tell me about her?

I'm a huge Nicole fan, so I must know more! The gara simply says she has a different bit: Skull Eyes. How is he different? Any info would be awesome ^_^

Soul Rod is a spammable weapon, locks on and spams three shots depending on how much you click

skull eyes is deadly wb, attacks melee more often and also shoots from range.

this nicole as a side affect of spammable soul rod gains WB gauge very very very fast..

So then Skull Nicole's soul rod is more spammable then regular Nicole's?

Does Skull Eyes have similar attack patterns and style to Dead Eye then? Just more melee based?

Looks to be more offensive than dead eye, because it lacks the bulk to function as a shield.

Skull has a head and 4 hands.

Her helm makes me go Embarassed Can't believe how much I adore it.

That said, I heard that it was much more offensive, she shoots out much more spam, and that the dead eye was spread wider. That means it's a less hassle for something to shoot your deadeye's parts all at once.


Oddly enough, I've seen more Jikuns tonight than the new Nicole. Makes me kinda sad. I want to see her more often to see if it's worth tryin to roll this shit gara for her. I've always wanted to make a Nicole hopper...but she may just be worth the fragility now.

  • Rod can fire three times at once, but the damage is a lot lower. This is great for quickly building WB, but is probably problematic for Malice hoppers.
  • The new bit lacks a fireball, so no burning.
  • All four hands plus the BD fire shadow missiles that cause bad booster, but the firing interval and damage are nerfed to compensate for the bit having five firing parts.
  • The shadow missiles look different than I remember though, almost like alba HD psyguns recolored. Maybe I just don't remember deadeye's missiles well enough, though.
  • Since it's a five-part bit, it is god-tier under a PS or burst fire bit.
  • Completely spazzes in melee range since it has four claws instead of two hands. Melee damage is, again, nerfed, but it has no problems swatting things away.


This Malice seems more geared to PS camping than the original (who was also geared more to PS camping, but w/e).

How fragile are the individual pieces? Deadeye core has almost a full bar and each arm has at least 100 HP before tough WB I believe. Skull eyes is probably glass cannon. Which would be good news for my SDC.

Every time I've seen them the hp on the parts wasn't a lot.

Difference is that something with splash (SDC for example), could take out Skull eyes in maybe 1-2 hits, while it might take more to get Deadeye. Also Deadeye main part can take a hit to the head and the rest (nicole, jazz hands) are unaffected.

New Nicole depends on draining a SDC/buriden to the ground before it can get into a death spiral.

I haz Nicole Malice Skull. For me, she's at best when coming close with Skull bit on, if you're not targeted. I survived the whole game with 2 kills and 2-3k support.

Oh yea, might as well favorited her.

Well, I finally got her ^_^

The biggest differences in play style are obvious, the three strikes with the wand (but only two targets), and the new bit with 4 arms (but lacking burning status).

While playing around with her in arcantus, I seemed to notice something about her melee I still need to confirm somehow. It seemed that when her claws were striking enemies, the enemy would then suffer the stun status (a la Gesso Whip). Has anyone else noticed that?

Anyway, haven't decided what kind of build I want on her... Her three strike wand does kinda change the whole hopper aspect. However, she can also pull out her bit far more frequently, nearly able to fill it after only one or two sets of strikes. I have a full lv. 10 fully tuned Nicole (my dear Magma Grunt Malice), but their play styles appear to be rather different, so I don't mind raising another ^_^

I didn't notice that, but if it does, hot damn.

EDIT: We were both wrong.

Skulleyes can cause shock, but it's not the melee that does it; it's the electrified bolt fired by Skulleyes's main core.

Hot damn indeed.

Also I confer with the whole ease of knockin out new Deadeye. Was playing around with Ion this afternoon, found someone with a Malice.. One zook shot hit all of the arms..and in a few seconds deadeye was..well dead. I don't think that Nicole was very happy with that though *scratches head*


So I'd like the verdict on the ppl who own more than one type of nicole...which one you like better? o.o

Most of the Malice Skull players I've seen don't have tough wonder bit yet. Saw one when playing Ouka today and killed all four arms in a single sword slash. Mine has Tough Wonder Bit, and so far the only thing it's been quickly dispatched by are gwyains that sneak up behind me, and cruise missiles.

Can't decide yet. Just noticed the new rod causes you to stop midair if you use it while flying, instead of allowing you to continue flying like the old one (which was extremely useful for staying in the air with deadeye since you could stay airborne even after running out of boost). And I doubt you can get all three rod strikes off during a hop.

Aesthetically I like Skull more, but I think original Nicole still has more raw combat potential.
