Image sizing

When importing an image I always get "Image does not match" I've tried changing the image size and I get the same thing.

So my question is, what dimension does the image need to be? How do I find out what size I need if it's part dependent.

EDIT: Okay, that problem is solved but now I need to know why it isn't in pallet format.
