What kind of cartriges should you put in a bot? newbie needs help :/

I was taking a look into guides, but i couldnt find much on cartrige builds, is there a differnt kind of set up that people should follow. or is it alright to put whatever? like for example defensive or offensive stratagies that might come of the cartrige builds how they work, what kind of bots should have what. And i mean all bots differning from land, air, support, and art

and if you guys know the effects too that would be awsome

Defensive you go with the shield carts and the movement carts.
Offensive you go with the upgrade cart capacity carts so you can get enough cost capa to put in better weapons and tunes.
Really comes down to the type of bot you have

general rule of thumb -
Always get Blast guard cart if your bot can get it.
Sword guard helps sometimes.
Land units generally need to have Boost run.
Air units almost always need quick boost no matter what.
Art units if have a core weapon do best with the internal core upgrades
Stealth system, broad radar, short boost, sway, sniper sight, and moving burst are also common carts to use depending on your playstyle.

Air cart build til you reach lvl 5 - Cost capa x4 and Quick boost.
Land cart build til you reach lvl 5 - Cost capa x3, blast guard and Boost run (hoppers get short boost instead).
Art cart build - cost capa, blast guard, and any internal core upgrade carts.

After lvl 5 is when it really comes down to the bot you are using and their own specialized carts.

Aside from very specialized builds, you should always take every capacity cartridge. From there though, it depends on type, size, bot, remaining capacity, cart selection available, intended build, etc. etc. The only thing from there I can say is what's worth ignoring (again, under most circumstances):

Shell Guard

Soul Eater

Revenge Shot

Tough Wonder Bit, in most cases; it's worthwhile with Unit-type bits, Puppet Bit, and Deadeye Bit.

I'd also personally say ignore stealth system, it's very rarely useful.

If building more aggressive builds, prioritize mobility cartridges such as Float Dash and Quick Land. The more mobile you are, the more aggressive you can afford to be. With bots that stay in the backlines (i.e. healers), it again varies on a case-by-case basis, but durability, wonder bit carts, and broad radar are probably the prime concerns.
