Rolled one of these from garapon, seems to do quite well against AIRs with the missile AM and the BD internals. If I was gonna tune it, would it be better to go for WLK or FLY stat? I've heard that most ART are better flying, but this one seems more oriented towards walking. Any opinions on which is better?

Equal wlk/fly in the BD, it's entirely up to you.

I'm personally more of a fan of fly, but you can't go wrong either way.

Walking usually means getting utter rape when you meet a LND, but then I have to take a look at his cartlist to see what movement carts fit in.

Also that second missile that shoots up and then does a 270 turn is an air bane, especially for those that like to circle strafe overhead.

It might have one more wlk with the parts you have on it, but the BD is 6 wlk 6 fly. You can just as easily build for either.

...actually, building fly on gunners is easier, because high boost beta is -str and -wlk. High run beta, on the other hand, is -tec and -fly. -str is okay, -tec is not, and beta tunes cost half as much as alpha. He does have boost run too, though...

I'd say tune wlk if you want to take boost run, otherwise go for fly.

No, the BD is 7 wlk 6 fly, I'm looking at it in game right now. It's the BD2, not the BD, which might have the same (not sure).

I don't think I'm going to change my statement based on 1 more wlk, though.

Part of the reason I was confused was that the breakers seem more accurate on land, though it might just be me.

I don't even know how to give advice regarding breakers, I'm apparently the only person that doesn't get weird hit detection with them. :s

Lots of people tell me their hits don't register with breakers even on direct hits. I've never had that problem, so idk .-.

Yeah, negative str's fine. Arts don't particularly get much use out of their bits anyway.

Ok, so how's this then:

With the parts it came with and accessories, 36 TEC/6 WLK/22 FLY/16 TGH. Internals and Blast Guard, rest Capacity Carts.

Alternatively, 28 TEC/4 WLK/26 FLY/16 TGH, Internals along with Blast and Beam Guards, rest Capa Carts.

First one gets me 4 more damage on internals and missiles, but loses out on Beam Guard. Think I'll need that Guard/extra FLY?

mmm, i unno. i find Slayer bits quite useful... activate it when u c a melee bot coming in ur way and it helps u keep a safe distance WHILE attking with less of a hassle... of course it doesnt work EVERY time, but i would say that's only cuz my bot has a large hitbox and the FLY is still quite low... (15 ish FLY) its a great way for an ART to rly get involved in a battle or help escape.

and iseal, i would say when u get about 25~30 ish FLY range, ur good to go (thats the stat range i'm targetting for my curent ARTs as well).

I'm not saying bits are useless on arts, I'm just saying they aren't as useful for art as they are on other types. Laser, Slayer, Dual Pepen, Dual Rifle, and occasionally Dual Missile are all pretty nice bits though.

Hrm. I'll get back to you on a build. If you could get >25 fly on the first one, I'd go with that.

Hm, I'd do that, but my Ace of Hearts Earrings are all used already. Guess I'll have to remove the tune on one of them. Is it worth tuning TEC that high rather than tuning Force onto the AMs?

Just noticed now that Gathima AMs raise wlk but not fly. If you're going to keep those instead of swapping arms and using conventional art weapons, I'd go for wlk.

What color should I aim for on the Boost Run chart? Light blue, green, yellow areas? If I don't use Boost Run, and instead get a Capa cart, I think I can hit 30+ WLK.

Edit: Should I go for the 30 WLK no boost run or the 26 WLK boost run?

Ok, so after some messing around in the calc, I have 3 choices to go from:

36 TEC, 29 WLK, Blast Guard, Internals, Capa. Great Force Beta+High Supply combo on the missile AM.

36 TEC, 25 WLK, 7 FLY, Blast Guard, Internals, Boost Run, Capa. No weapon tunes

Same as 2nd, but with Beam Guard over Boost Run.

Should I keep the Breaker AM? It seems subpar on damage, but it has a nice range.

If you're in the business for aiming, I'd keep them for sniping purposes.
