Using ie to access site

I can't log in to CB's website using IE. Firefox and Chrome do it just fine. When I try ie, nothing happens, sans the URL changing to add a # sign at the end.

If it helps, the laptop in question is a Dell Latitude D820 with a Windows server operating system. It also mentions that I need to update Adobe, but when I download it. I never know where it goes.
