| Why is it so underused? Thing deals 50+ damage easily and has nice chase. You even spazz around and dodge some enemy shots while at it. | |

| Upgrade to Duel Rapier, it's so much better.
It's not used because it's kind of awkward to reliably hit with, and generally speaking there are more convenient options (various crim arms, kamui staff) for air melee, if you're even going to use it to begin with.

| Well, yeah. I use the duel rapier. But I'm adressing to all of the rapiers in general. The alternate Crim arms are nice, but seriously. | |

| Other weapons are so much easier to use, like Kamui staff, so weapons that still take a little practice, like Rapiers, are less seen. It's not that it's bad, it's just that there are easier choices out there. | |

| They are lacking in some area's, heck people can't even air melee properly without a kamui staff | |

| So it's one of those weapons with practice, it could be effective? | |

Yeah, but the time it takes for you to be good with a rapier is probably enough to make you pro with a kamui staff....

| AIR MELEE = DUEL RAPIER...
but it's too close quarters for some hat's why they switch to/ use kamui staff... unless of course you tune it for range...

| There are so many more reasons to use kamui sword, why is this even a question?
advantage: more range more damage wider swing move further with combo better stun greater chance of chopping part off
disadvantage: less e-peen?

| Yes kamui staff is the bomb... but it's not readily accessible from the start.... and for those people who seek to be lower in cost/ low capacity... rapier is a good option... | |

| Rapier has one very good advantage if you know how to use it : VERY quick combo if you're air meleeing. Ass in 4 or 5 hit combo, IIRC. Useful for taking care of people 1 on 1, not so much when you're in the middle of an ART nest. | |

Get to be a pro wit hthe duel rapier and you could be a fore that people fear. Duel rapier, is also good for whcking those annoying smaller bots into a corner, but the way it carries you forward can also put you there, so they MIGHT be able to get out. Good for whackign a running bot though, and it's reach is, overall, pretty decent.

| it's hard to combo with, haku staff does way more damage and flying in to melee can be dangerous especially with all these vanguard fencers running everywhere accepted flying equips for most "conventional" players (if you melee air and aren't an izuna (crim is harder to use with haku cause of her stats) with a haku staff - then you unconventional) - micro zooka, plasma gun (wide beam gun or beam gun mod if you dont have the cost capa), auto beam rifle (beam rifle if you can't get it), viper shield, and izuna wisps anything is just harder to handle... hey you learn how to handle using rapier or beam swords in air outside of haku staff then congratz

I'm not talking about the other crim arms. I'm talking about just the rapier.
