How do I play well with lag?

I'm pretty sure i could get into the top 5 a heck of a lot more if i had less lag, but I can't change my internet connection for a long time.

I usually get around 5mbps. And some other players get about 3 and still play well.

Is there a play style that can minimize the fail from lag?

It's not really horrible lag, but it can get bad enough to cause regular warping, hence i can't hit anyone, hence I fail at combat whenever the internet acts up.

I'd still like to be around more action but not right in the middle, as a lagger is just dead weight on the team if he's in the very center of the fight.

you can't beat the lag you can only use it with a jikun and other stuff that cause lag to other players
the system has changed so that for UC you can forget to get into top 5, you can be happy to be in top 10
