Why is everybody in channel 2?

Seriously.

There are only about forty people in channel one, and nearly three hundred in channel two. As Tempura said, there will be less lag if you spread out over the channels. If you're doing arena or mission, there's nothing wrong with channel 1, and for quest, there's channel 3. At the moment, there's so much lag that every single arena room is "over crowded."

well the game was unplayable due to lag on channel one

when I say unplayble I mean enemies were straight teleporting

so we moved to channel 2 lag still

ppl will soon move to channel 3 but Im assuming there would still be lag

solutions the could either a get better servers that aren't ten no wait 20 years old cause I can play unreal tournament 1 online and thats ten years old and get no lag

b region lock the game pointless cause then they would only have 20 players including me and still have crappy servers

You don't understand, titan. It's not that any single channel is the extra-laggy one...

...but that piling people up all in a single channel causes lag for ALL channels. Instead of having 20 people in C1, 300 in C2, and 5 people in C3, you want, say, 100 in C1, 110 in C2, and 115 in C3. Spread the load.

If they'd allow quest mode on ch 1 again (if they have there hasn't been a notice yet.)

Then we wouldn't have this problem most likely, and players on ch 1 and ch 2 would balance out, since no one likes lag.

Ch 3 is lonely and scary. so i'm never on ch 3 :'[

I just enter channel 2 because everyone else is in channel 2....that's probably why half the people there do it, too.

I enter the Channel with the most people because there's more people to talk to and my friends are most often logged in there, too.

I log into the least populated one because I'd load less people and use less bandwidth...

Unless Im looking for people for quest of course.

Channel 1 = NO QUESTS DX
Channel 3 = Few people. I'm so lonely :'(

YES! This is EXACTLY how it needs to be! Spreading the game populace across the channels evenly minimizes server load, and thusly, lag! Lag is bad, so no lag is good!

What do people not understand here? Two-thirds of the players are on channel 2, and that is too much. If you're questing, go to channel 3. Otherwise, go to channel 1.

Note: For those of you looking for better gara rolls on channel 2...stop it. There is absolutely no reason for CyberStep to set better odds there, and the algorithm isn't so simple as to be consistently better there. It's a myth. A bloody myth.
