Recruiting clan peoples

are people generally open to the idea of public recruiting, i don't want to come off as being someone desperate for clan members so whats the best way to recruit people?

Tell them your username. No seriously, if I was in DOS and you went up to me saying, "Hi, my name is IronDicks. Would you like to be part of my guild?" I'd join in a heartbeat.

Open campaigning yourself is generally fine, it's about trying to make friends and suckering them into joining or making yourself noticeable too. As long as you don't become one of those people who spam an invite to every guildless person in the middle of the area. >_>
