Another neat indie title I found. This game actually took 10 years for him to create, but boy did it all pay off (which I admire)!
It's called
OwlboyIn Owlboy, you play as Otus, one of the last remaining few of a Human/Owl hybrid race. He lives in a world full of floating islands, mysterious Owl People ruins, and Pirates. Along his journey, Otus meets up with a bunch of other neat friends who offer their abilities to help, and has to stop another Owl Person named Solus from abusing the power of the lost Owl Relics.
The game reminds me of a cross of Castle In The Sky with the Steampunk-esque technology and floating islands, and One-Piece with the superpowered pirates and such. It's really a neat adventure and has lots of cool puzzles and secrets. My only complaint is that very few of the Boss Battles are actually awesome and exhilarating, and a couple you actually win without even having to attack, or it's really just a big fight against a bunch of normal enemies and not an actual boss.
You should check it out though. It's very cool.
