What's the meta like nowadays?

I came back after a 4+ year absence. Played a few arena matches with my old 2012 team and got handled so badly that my new asshole is still raw.
What's the new meta like nowadays? The bunch of free tickets for anniversary/thanks/whatever got me a few fancy new bots as well: EX Lazflamme, Corona Cougar, Malca and Elcott.

Always. But I like to know what's going on after 4 years, even considering the playerbase is tiny now.

Re-learn the basic controls and how to properly shoot/dodge shit before you try anything serious in the arena again.

Arena's mostly made up of one of two things depending on who's on and what the general consensus of bots are: 60% melee, 40% AlphARTs/AlphAIRs OR 40% ARTs, 40% AIRs & 20% SUPs, just from what i've seen anyways.

Most rooms start out with the first combo, then when a healer enters the match it generally shifts towards the 2nd combo after a match or two.

Unless either Baphogridr Girl or Alice Read enters the room. After that, the room becomes a bottomless pit of sorrow for both sides.

Well, now everything that has acess to the moving burst cart
can upgrade it to long moving burst through the core tune system,
what leads to a meta filled with a lot of alpha strike bullshit,
especially airs who can shoot things over 400 range due to their
alphastrike setups...

Besides this, the major threats in the meta are bikers, alices
and baphogridr, with alice being the worst of the three...

Also important to note that ever since ARTs gained mobility like never before, they can now counter LNDs as effective as they do AIRs.
In other words, any melee bots will need one helluva HP and veil/parry to even get close to ARTs.

Man, I hate high stun rates.

You're forgetting Homura, Moray and Celica.

there's been a speed creep. seems like very recent bots have been getting strong defense gimmicks. oh there's been a massive HP creep, no fully built bot has less than 500hp. Capa tunes are way easier to do. rainbowchips are no longer rare.

ask around about drives and core tunes, people don't list them on their calculated builds. you can check these to get a feel, new content at top of each.

unrelated, i'm still bothered by Natasha's shield, seems like the worst defense gimmick.

it's not the subject for this thread, but I do agree, I don't see the
need of such heavy mobility penalty for her siege mode, something
like sasha's shield would be enough tbh, or something like -30%
speed with dash restriction...
