Kanpani Girls

There's a new game that's going to be launching soon (like, a few hours, according to the website).  It's an RPG by the developers behind Kantai Collection.  The idea of the game is that the player is the CEO of a mercenary company.  Anyone else plan on giving it a go?

Devs gave out more codes. First one is another Silver Mailbox, second is an Armor Hammer.

They've also got a giveaway going with a Silver Mailbox for people with MMOHuts accounts.

What's the mailboxes for anyway?

They give you a better chance of getting resumes from high-rarity employees. When the fairy asks if you want to see today's new employees, reject the offer, open the mailbox, then go to accept the new employees. It also boosts draws done by spending stones. It's a 15-minute boost, so one of the things some people do is to wait until a few minutes before the daily server reset before opening the box, so they can get boosts to two draws instead of one (as in, once before the reset and then once after the reset). They also affect quest drops, though you'll have to be up to at least Chapter 4 before you can get to the point where it's worth spending boxes on.

If the daily server reset is at a bad time for you, then the next best thing would be to stock up on fairy envelopes. Those give extra draws that work like the daily one. You can trade coins from the battlefield mode for them in the shop's exchange tab.

There's a new Facebook campaign going on until December 23rd. Players who post screenshots showing that they've completed the story mode will receive 10 employee stones and a 5-star archer.

There's a Christmas event that's going to be running from December 11 to the 29th. People who've played through the Japanese version say that you can expect a Christmas dungeon with its own material drops and special event weapon recipes. Also, there should be a special envelope gifted on Christmas day itself that will have all 3*-5* resumes inside.

Yes.

There's a Part 1 that has 10 chapters and a Part 2 that has 1 chapter.  You'll see a To Be Continued on the quest screen after that last chapter, which is what you're supposed to take a screencap of for the contest.

If you can clear the story mode, then you should be able to handle the Hard dungeon. Also, I look forward to seeing you guys in the PvP mode.

Got an Archer with ribbons that make it look like cat ears, and holding the bow in a way that looks like a tail. I feel conflicted now, 'cause I like my 2* Mage.

Ah, you got Miluska.  Nice catch!  Personally, I keep both an archer and a mage in my main team.

They're doing a poll on Facebook now to see which girl players want to see in a hentai scene most. ...Which is kind of unexpected, considering the game doesn't have any H-scenes in either this version or the Japanese version.  Nutaku is promising some "surprises" related to whichever girl wins.

There were some Youtubers who were paid to make short Let's Plays of Kanpani Girls. The codes were distributed with their videos.

I don't find it that bad, but you can just run that class quest (Friday quests are good for money too).

You can make more money than the Friday resource quest by selling the gems you get from normal quest drops.  They're used for crafting, but stockpiling them won't do you much good if you can't afford to do the crafting in the first place.  Sell the ones worth 3,000 gold when needed, they're really common.  The ones that are worth more should be held onto, they can be a pain to get if you run out.

The daily gem quest provides a guaranteed source of gems; chapter 2-6 of the story mode and beyond will provide you with potentially more gems than that if your luck holds up.  This page has a timer that shows how long it'll be until the next daily quest happens. It also shows when the next server reset will occur, if you want to do the mailbox trick.

I had the great idea of never using a Soldier and never level up one, so quests with Wolves were eating a party of level 60's alive. Good thing I had Aderina, those same quests are now doable with 2 L60's and 3 L30's (Aderina being on the 30's as well).
