Making a new version is different than buffing something that already exists.
Remember Stella LD? Probably not because compared to the original it's utter trash and nobody ever uses it.
Remember Icy Wool, the version that you can't use asura AMJs on so you actually can't stack 4x remote attacks?
Remember Miruru SH? Probably not because she's fucking horrible.
Remember Nemlim Alucard and how it was released in the time when Mellow was one of the strongest things in the game and Alucard is one of the few things in CB that is actually so bad it's unplayable?
Remember when they released Corona V? I don't think I saw one after the first week because she's glitched only in CBEN because we never got the bugfix that CBJP did, making her utterly trash compared to the original because she doesn't function right.

I could go on. CS has repeatedly released variants that are far worse than previous versions.

removing the ability to put on AMJs is a downgrade in every way possible. It doesn't make her unplayable by any means, but there is 0 reason to use wool over standard GL, as you lose asura AMJs(Which I brought up because someone1 really likes to talk about how strong remote weapons are), burst missile amjs, and even just 1s/0cost amjs for easier tuning.

it's a downgrade with 0 upsides.

U forgot her 1 upside, she SOOO kawaii

and if you use 2 BS's she doesnt even need handhelds

or you can go 2 BS, 1 tuned, 1 untuned, and 1 handheld

still makes for easy tunes

handhelds are shit because they make you lose cost. AMJs don't make you lose any cost. Her booster setup is already shitting since she has icy BS stats built in to her core because cyberstep is dumb as shit.

the point was that cyberstep repeatedly makes bots worse than previous ones. Sorry if I insulted your "Waifus" or whatever I'm just making a point that CS doesn't make more powerful things every month, it's completely random what is or isn't good and just because it has the same name as something that is good now doesn't mean it will be equally strong or stronger.
