Help with game setting to reduce lag. Empty
PostSubject: Help with game setting to reduce lag.   Help with game setting to reduce lag. EmptyFri Apr 10, 2015 3:04 am

After this week's maintenance, my game suddenly got super laggy. I tried to use defragment the game folder with Defraggler but it didn't help much. Is there any thing in CB's option setting that can help me?
For "Performance" under graphic setting, is "High" or "Low" the "uglier but faster" setting? I searched for old threads about it but I'm still unsure.
I have 4GB of RAM so should I set memory size to S, M or L? And should Thread optimization be turned on?
Thank you for your help.

Set performance low.

Move the Maximum Objects slider further to the left.

Have memory setting as high as you can run it without encountering texture errors or crashing.

Try installing Leatrix Latency Fix. It doesn't help that much, but it helps a little.

Try running CB with an elevated process priority.

It does do something. Just, the thing it does is make a lot of objects disappear, especially in arena matches. When there are lots of alpha strikers, over half of the bullets will become invisible, due to object limit.

So move it to the right instead. Otherwise, have fun barely reducing lag while being forcefully blind to danger.

I didn't say all the way to the left.. just more towards the left side than the right.

I play somewhere in the range of 1/3 to 2/5 of the maximum objects bar. I don't have any issues with invisible people or bullets. (It should be noted that I don't participate in 30v30 rooms unless there is no other option and I just want to clock in to finish my daily Eris/Ivis mates.)

Oh, and also have stage shadows ticked off. I forgot to mention that. If you're freezing often, every little bit of freeze reduction helps.

I'm just saying that a lowered object limit is the only disadvantageous adjustment. Not a good idea to do that. It's important to be able to see objects.
