| The cat of my sister is staying here for a week because she's going on vacation. Holy shit has it become fat. And it's already doing a good job of waking everyone up in the morning too. I certainly didn't miss it when it left the house when my sister went to live on her own. | |

| Went to eat at the place of a guy my friends met some days ago (I overslept so I couldn't be there that day). Sweet guy and a great host, it feels like a bit of a shame that he has to return to India this week. | |

Sure you can, find other active forums to lurk, or, have someone to chat to 24/7.

| Found out Nexon JP has its own mobile chat plaform. Went to look at it, but I lost it when I saw those recommendations. http://puu.sh/bgVLo/f07b0bb189.png |

OH GOD LMAO I wouldn't be surprised if depression is that much more serious in jp, with all those occasionall suicide stories that reach our ears. At the same time, we in the west might start to take depression more seriously due to late Robin Williams.

I could go into a string of conversation talking about contemporary Japanese identities covering suicide and societal issues leading to it as I have studied it in the past (though I could still do more study), but its something i'd probably only do over a microphone as writing about it would take too much effort.

| Grandmother told me to come and fix her clothes dryer, as it wasn't drying clothes anymore.
I've never performed maintenance or repairs on a clothes dryer.. ever.
I spent 1.5 hours getting an edyookayshin on dryer maintenance and repair on the internet, this morning.
I went over and worked on her nonfunctional dryer for another 1.5 hours.
Her dryer, now, works.. and my shirt has so much sweat in it that it looks like I stepped in from the rain. (I'm her favorite grandson for a damned good reason.)

I suppose if you want to look into it more yourself you could start with looking into hikikomori and documentaries around the issues with Aokigahara forest. edit: i'm no expert here keep in mind. I only studied Japanese politics and contemporary identities for half a year.

| Eh they're pretty tame for the most part...unless boobies are devastating to you ...only a handful are actually full nudes or close ups.
Still sucks for them that it happened...rumors floating around that iCloud is to blame for storing said images even if deleted or hidden. But I don't know much about how it works to really say much about it.
In hindsight it's a reminder to keep anything too personal you don't want to be seen away from cloud servers.

| And to think that ENTIRE conversation happened because someone took something that wasn't meant to be serious, seriously. | |

I find it extremely sad that it requires someone well known to commit suicide, so people can take something seriously, which they won't anyway. It's not that they don't know, it's just that random people doesn't make them look good.

Thank god I was not born in japan I would be fucking outcasted for how open with myself I am. I don't get it tho it seems like the younger generation is screaming for a change in society and it just is not happening. Then again the same is happening here. America may not be repressed but the generational gap is just as bad here as it is in japan. Actually a person could argue its worse because our generational gap goes not only into understanding cultures but also understanding technology. The government here has no clue how to regulate the internet. Take a look at comcast and netflix any older form of technology and what comcast is doing right now would be breaking several laws. The government barely understands it tho thus comcast can do what ever the fuck they want. Not even trying to be a dick but most of the worlds problems would be solved by killing the old guard or putting them out of commission.
