| If what Ixion stated is true, expect a surprise maintenance to deal with the prizes and other random shenanigans.
Also, i'd expect a new gara for each invader on a 2-week schedule, all ending at the 4th month.

| I played a match just to test the client changes out.
The game, outside of arena, feels much more snappy. Getting into and out of the garage feels snappier and more responsive, as does starting or finishing a Dispatch mission with a nearly full subgarage.
In the arena, it seems to freeze less often.. but when it does, holy shit, it freezes hard.

| It's probably a good move that will keep the player-driven side of the economy from experiencing rampant inflation. That room, over the multiplier weekend, created millions of UC that did not exist prior to its existence. There aren't enough things in CBEN that destroy UC, (Pot fees, bazaar tax, painting fees, UC bot purchases, RT conversion, etc.) so most of that UC is going to be spent in bazaar, which is going to raise bazaarable item prices, once supplies run low due to the playerbase's increase in purchasing power.

Oh, I just realized how they could remove all this extra UC from our economy: Give us another 1s UC robot campaign. WTB: 1s Ragna for 300k. | |

| Eh, rather than shop, I'd like to see updates that would make it worthy to play arena, which is the main mode of the game. Add new mats, make them drop only if you join at start (on other modes you don't need restrictions, except maybe easy modes), add part crafting, make a few new bots for that as well to generate hype, make variants of UC bots so you can also use their parts and mats to make the variants, add part improvement to increase number of slots (1s Desu AM + mats = 2s Desu AM, and so on), add extinct RT bots to it as well since you know, they are extinct so why not, add 3s crafting bots to the shop for RT so those who doesn't want to grind can just rush and spend their money on the game. Bam, another way to reward people for playing and incentive them to do so, because right now, the only incentives are event based only, and that only lasts for so long.
Though I'd want game balance, performance and mechanics improvements before anything else (actual improvements).

Crafting slots onto parts would fucking rule. Crafting entire bots would fucking rule. Special arena-only drops that only drop when you don't room hop would fucking rule. | |

| I've actually posted about it a few times, only a few things changed but still the same basic concept.
Arena just loses it's shine really fast. The only reason you have to play on it, excluding event times, is just because the game was made around it, nothing else. Leveling? It's crap on arena. UC? After a while, UC is just for bazaar and tuning, and maybe gara/level removers. Drops? Drops are usually shit anyway, you only get enough mats from arena to tune if you rarely tune.
And the UC shop is mostly 1s, which is rather punishing when the parts are good but they aren't as easy to get in 3s (though you can find many on bazaar for rather cheap prizes). If it wasn't for the UC gara, some of the best parts would be really rare since the only way to get them at 3s would be lotto and trading. Even though most are still easy to get, some aren't available unless you buy the RT versions (since they made UC version of RT bots).
And even if they expanded the UC shop to have more (1s) UC bots that can also be bought with RT, and if their parts are good, crafting would work pretty well in using your grinding into letting you increase the number of slots on those parts. One could say that people wouldn't have a reason to buy the RT version anymore, except you can see how other games, which are more "successful" than CB, have systems that are alike, and people still charge and buy from the premium shop instead anyway, because they don't want to grind/trade, and trade in CB can also mean grinding, which also means more people playing. It doesn't matter what you do (grind or pay), you still bring activity to the game anyway, which is partially the point of f2p, even if people doesn't charge, people will still play and populate the server, which also means more paying members.
And drops that aren't commonplace also indirectly help with activity (like how people used to grind epoch/missions/quests for certain parts/weapons).
But what do we have now? Drops are mostly easy to get unless they are new or event exclusive and there's barely any reason to grind/play. If you actively play arena, UC shouldn't be much of a trouble, even more when you already play for a long time and piled up a bunch of things that you can just bazaar away (and random Acc that you get as drops can be sold on the garage, and while they don't sell for a lot by themselves, when you have tons of them, you can get a good quantity of UC). The game just feels "goaless", and the only thing they do to improve that, is to do events. Legion has goals, but Legion is more like training wheels and to go test some stuff, nothing more. Crafting isn't a "direct" goal, more like a way for people to have personal goals, at least for as long as it takes them to get everything. It isn't a direct reward either, but it indirectly rewards you for playing. While it doesn't seem to bring any money, at this stage, money isn't the issue, to amount of players is, and they need to get a method to grab people's attention that isn't just giving free stuff away, that only works for days or a couple of weeks.

I really like a lot of things in CB, but it's such a disappointment how they don't try to improve what they have and make new things that might improve the game as well. | Man, I remember, before SUC Garapon, grinding certain levels in Arcantus.. trying to get Box Missiles and Handy Bazookas.
I'd also like to see more weapons that only appear from drops from certain mobs on certain levels.. that can't be found in the arena drop pool and aren't in any Garapon.
It was so badass to have Box Missiles, back in the day. (Also, why didn't they get an update like Titan Bazooka and the others.. They really need more ammo for their cost.) | |

Well they added Shark Head and Bacho Cape, they there was a fever for those.... but it was over after the first bazaar... we're talking about mode exclusive drops, banchos and shark masks drop in all modes, tuna sushi only drops in arcantus. |
