Today, I learned that Christians worship the Egyptian god, Horus, who was worshipped three to five thousand years BCE. That's three to five thousand years before their Jeewiz was "born."

religion only causes problems, just look at israel and hell, even america

we have all this "god bless america" feces smeared all over our country and churches are actually able to have power over things like gay marriage and all that bullshit. this whole world would be better (and more economy-friendly) if we didn't have religions and churches eating away at government finances.

Yeah, I totally support legislation that would allow for taxation of churches and religious organizations.

It's absurdly easy to become ordained, take a piece of paper to your local county clerk, find two other turds, rent or buy an old shack and become a tax free organization.

The fact religions with no source of interaction have the same beliefs in some aspect point more towards their being a higher being instead of doing the opposite.

Also go take you religion bashing else where like to reddit or something this forum is not the place for it.

Oh, I still believe that there is some form of god or higher, sentient force that we don't understand. I just hate religion. It conditions children, at a young age, to stop asking why and to believe dubious stories that are in a supposed sacred book that was put together by a group of old men some time in the distant past.

There's nothing wrong with a group that tries to teach morality to other people, but morality isn't tethered to religion; in fact, religion justifies immorality in most cases.

Went to get a ladder to see where the gutter is leaking, now.. Every time I seal one hole, I find a smaller hole that I didn't notice before. I grabbed the ladder off of its hook and almost immediately feel a sharp, stabbing pain in my thumb.

It's a fiberglass ladder with aluminum rungs (steps;) the rungs on the ladder that I was handling are hollow, with no bottom. Hidden inside the rung that I placed my hand under was a wasp's nest.. complete with four pissed off wasps. I promptly killed them all with a can of nearby poison spray, along with their twelve eggs.

Now, my right thumb is fucked. I took some diphenhydramine (Benadryl's active ingredient) and pulled 95% of the stinger out, (the tip had broken off and was imbedded inside of my thumb,) but it hurts like fuck and is swollen.

At least we have active Chaos Rooms.. I can still put in my 20 matches to satiate Eris and Ivis without actually being able to aim well.
