By the way, did they make the pay model actually not shit like it was in the beta? Where it was basically the same as all those awful mobile F2P games (you could only fly one mission every 4 hours or something retarded). | |

| no it's still the shitty fuel system.
people still mad about it.
instead of changing the system namco gives a ranking tournament once a month and more special drop planes.
luckily they tend to give out a decent number of challenges that give you fuel, but it's not the kind of game you're going to sit down and play for hours.
(This is probably a good thing though since there's nothing to stop people from picking the completely superior endgame planes and ruining everything except for the unlock requirements of said planes)
there's going to be a large update soon with more planes, another multiplayer map, the next story mission, and real PvP, so they may change things with that. I'm really hoping for a plane tier restriction otherwise PvP will be utter dogshit.

| Well, it's Namco, my fault for expecting something reasonable from them, really.
I guess if there's not much to do then this is a good way to prevent people from getting burnt out on the game too fast though. | |

| PVP next weekend will be restricted to the 7 most basic planes. 3 of them are ground-attack planes which will be mostly useless in pvp, leaving only 4 planes to pick from. | |

it was fun while it lasted, i guess.
next tournament will have a ridgebacks shinden as a top 200 prize. Basically a 750(probably) cost multirole that only charging players have any chance of obtaining.
previous top 200 reward planes were just special shit, not actually better than most others. This will change that. the normal shinden is just barely out of line with the other top scorefarming planes, all of which can be obtained normally. If the special one has boosted stats(it will) it'll be stupid, even if they somehow manage to give it the worst sp weapon selection possible(idk...SOD/HCAA/SFFS?)
I expect the rest of the special plane list that got leaked to be more of the same, including yellow13's terminator(people who've played previous ace combat titles should know what this is and what it means). | |
