Too used to having Broad Radar so I'm doing really mediocre with this bot,

Classic Adone AM Air Raider alpha will outdamage you whilst being 1/3 your size and having mobility carts.

double crystas arms don't do anything. 1 arm is enough, the only point is to remain in the air through boost steal.

Thanks for all the advice.

My original concept was to build an alphag that has the ability to stay in the air throughout the entire match - and sure enough, that objective was met.

But soon I realized how derpy it was since neither firepower or range were the bot's forte. When I land a perfect critical salvo on the enemy I barely break 30-40 damage, and soon the damage gets gimped due to TGH reduction. On high TGH lands I've seen this bot doing single digit damages with perfect salvos...

I took the sound ball lgj because I thought the benefit of having another 7 force weapon will outweigh the potential 9 Tec (45 cost = 4 High tec alphas and 1 tec) I get on two 7 force Crystas, two 8 force bowgun, and a 11 force BD core.

Anyone have any idea how damages work in CB?

Not sure this is how damage works in CB but:

1TEC = 1.625% linear force boost
9 TEC = 14.625%
14.625% boost on 2X7Force 2X8Force & single 11Force (assuming alphag damage stack linearly) = 6 Force
with 45 Cost, sound ball gives another 7 Force weapon (along with 10hp & 1 tgh)

So would the 45 cost lgj with 7 force be better than having 9 extra tec?

the crystas arm shoots 3 times so all force bonuses to it should be multiplied by that.
real talk tho instead of doing the math you should get someone from your clan to run in a circle and shoot at them and see if the LGJ actually hits or not because if it's not hitting, it's not doing anything even if it's "mathematically superior."

wouldn't 280 considered mid range? need that mobility to evade ARTS when I get close and personal
anyways imma have fun with it for another week or so and scrap it after the 7 day air loops runs out.
For my first custom alpha I made a boat load of mistakes Mad

maybe for the next one I'll try building with Harrier Accel BD or Rosso Aspide BD
All those wasted core tunes and ex tunes on my Air Raider alpha SMH Mad

all of that(except the LGJ i think) overranges so you could be working at a much further range if you used proper parts. Goes back to "what is the point of the lgj"
