but does the bot need to have CV tuned on it for it to work, like say, air guard (or whatever that core tune's name was)
where you need an air cart for it to give you all guard

no, no, and it only works for start of normal attackings(i.e. no Action BS or Zero Step combos)

basically it has a 50% chance of giving your melee hyper armor during each hit. we all know it says CV but it basically just means hyperarmor, it doesn't actually give you the full CV status effect for a long time, just a quick frame of immunity to stun.

not each hit, but only lasts from start of first click
