i love this game

quick alcy guide, pre update:

Carefully study the enemy team before a match, decide if there are enough zero bots to make alcy useful
put alcy in commando
target priority: Zero > Air > Sup > Lnd > Art
keep track of your buff, make sure to get a new one before the previous one runs out, you don't want to be left without a buff
chase zeros because you really want the zero buff
kill things when you have the zero buff
use the reboost when you are low on boost gauge. Using hacking buster to refill boost gauge is situational because you may not want to lose a Zero/air buff by using a land to refill your boost gauge.
shoot the nova at healgroups if you don't have a buff.



quick alcy guide, post update:

put alcy in your commando
buff priority: Zero > not zero
kill everything always
shoot the analyze beam a lot
shoot the hacking buster at things whenever you are low on boost - you no longer care what buff you have up, so just constantly refresh your buff and boost gauge this way
shoot the nova at heal groups

final step: remove alcy from your commando

2. can't have double PBC+jet accel without capa tuning
3. can't use fullboost without transforming
4. doesn't have a tech-based melee to deal with other air melees, and if I put frau knife on her she loses it during transform

Alright real talk time.

People seem to be bitching about the use of armada AM as a replacement/substitute for flapam on builds, citing it's like a flying roaram build.

These people don't know shit about fuck.

Now, for the most part, the weapon stats are exactly the same - same ammo, same range, same speed, same int. Even same number of shots and cooldown mechanic. They are pretty much the same thing but with the damage type swapped from blast to beam.

The difference is the force: psycho formula AM6 has 25 force. Armada AM has just over half of that, at a massive 13 force.

Including the TEC scaling, you're looking at a damage output of 37 compared to a damage output of 19 - again, just a bit over HALF the force.

What the fuck does this mean?

This means that flapjack AM has 29 force. 3 more than TWICE the force of armada arm. They scale to a raw damage output of 43. While it's only 2 shots compared to 3, it will still output more damage except against things with low TGH stats.

Flapjack arms have ridiculous base speed and rarely miss when fired properly, and have a similar AoE.

In terms of actually knowing math, these new weapons aren't any more powerful than the only weapons. In fact, they're worse in a lot of ways. They cost less and are, in turn, less effective. Flying roar arms? Sure, they behave like them in every way - except the part where they tear everything to shreds without caring about type. In air to air battles, the damage is nothing amazing. Against artillery, you're still fucked due to blast damage being overpowered and airs being naturally fragile as fuck.

So pretty much all the community is really bitching about is "oh no muh homing" when flap AM has the same hit rate. Also double illgrips AM builds will still out DPS everything else in the sky.
