I've been piddling around with my Sledge.. and, yesterday, I decided to calculate a build and finally level it.

I'm not exactly sure about cartridge selection.. so I took Boost Step and Quick Land with my mandatory Broad Radar. Are BS and QL good carts for Sledge? Also, I made mine walk based. I wasn't entirely sure as to whether Sledges work better walking or flying.

I also didn't have a regular Pump Bazooka.. so I slapped a PZ Mod onto him. I wanted it to have a gun to farm, if needed, and shoot at targets when I'm not in the mood to run away and I can't get to them with the big bang. At 1 tec, it still hits for 27 and has a hugefuckingexplosion. I didn't have room for any weapon tunes, but the projectile is so enormous that I don't have many issues with connecting.

So, here is my prospective build. It won't be that hard to make, given that I have enough Cyberoid legs and Accel Saber heads to brute force, UC tune them.

Opinions and suggestions are welcomed. I do understand that I have sub-500 HP.. but I can always throw on some EX tunes. I really wanted to get 40 str and max my movement stat, while being at a decent TGH breakpoint. At this level of strength and with both EIW, the blast tackle is slated to do 71.

Boost Step is a great movement cart and is WLK-based. So yes, you made the right choice. Dunno about Quick Land. It might slightly improve Boost Step just like how Quick Land slightly improves forward movement for Assault Step.

I'll try to see if I can find better parts but this looks pretty decent.

Consider dropping to negative TEC.

The damage on the gun is only 1 damage difference per shot and it gives you a lot of capacity back to do whatever, such as more HP or weapon tunes even.

That also delegates his unique bit (for an ART) to a single flash use instead of a rotating ball of NOPE, it should be noted.

But yeah, negative TEC opens up a lot of possibilities.

Thanks for the ideas.

I did manage to get enough XP on the core to try out Quick Land with Boost Step. It's a noticeable difference.

Also, I tested it out a bit in arena.. I did one blast tackle, while targeting an air.. and I landed halfway across the map. Now I see how people are ending up at the height ceiling of maps with it.

(Now, if only I could get a regular 3s Pump Bazooka so I could take the pale blue out of my bot's color palette.. I hate mod weapons because of that blue.. it forces my obsessive compulsiveness to include that color into the bot so that it matches.. and the PZ already has hot orange.. My bot looks like a flaming tennis shoe.)

I think that's pretty good. Broad Radar is nice but you can probably do without it.

forget about quick land, it's not needed for boost step

you can go ahead and lower tec below 0

raise as much hp as possible, 460 is really bad for a bot of this size and genre

no one is saying to crowd dive with it but for the same cost you could get around 700 hp so yeah...
