Should I return to Cosmic Break?

Hello everyone,
I've played cosmic break for quite some time but quit more than a year ago due to heavy lags (not sure if it's my fault or the server's fault). Now I kinda miss this game and want to play it again (really, I can't find any alternative for cosmic break). But I want to know if it's a good idea? Is the lag still there? And are the OP bots still rampaging around without getting nerfed? Please answer these question to help me decide.
Btw, I want start anew but I still miss stuffs from my old account. Are bots like toy box girl, Kuten and UC hopper bots still useful so I'll consider playing with my old account.

I actually really wana play onigiri once ENG releases. The alpha is fun despite its glitches. Cosmic break wise, the condition is only going to get worse as time goes by

Cosmic Break is still fun, there are just extremely jaded people on the forums.

There will always be "OP bots" and there will always be people that bitch and whine about them.

TBG and UC hoppers still work. Once you learn what bot does what, you'll know what to avoid and what to pounce on; then you'll be fine.

The game does lag and freeze like shit. Getting an i7 should fix most of it. If you're a poorfag with an old PC, prepare to just deal with it.

We still have Indonesian mole people that live underground and wipe their asses with worms.. but, the game is still fun, even with those fucking laggots in it.

combat magnum is pretty good as well, but you're going to have to try your luck for a while with lotto cubes to get one. custom magnum is an alternative.

the game has legitimately improved and balance isn't as bad as it could be

the problem is people want units like jags and build arms to be on par with garapon units. the issue is that most early game uc units do not have any special abilities. they are distinctively weapon holders only, which limits their power. on the off hand early uc units are actually very cheap, which is nice.

i'm not going to explain everything, but basically there's tiers, and early uc units are more or less at the bottom of it due to them only having nice carts but no inherent abilities. they're as good as the weapons you put on them.

I game on a P4 that is so old my HDD is IDE and my graphics card is an AGP 8x. Arena freezes; I deal with it.

Also, so what if there are tons of meelee rushers in one match? If those people don't room hop out, use some air bots in the next round. If there are tons of artillery in one match, use a melee bot the next round. If there are tons of air bots, use an artillery. Too many people just give up without trying to fight back. Even a full tuned Eris isn't immortal.

The only really infuriating circumstance in this game is when you randomly end up on the team that is nearly entirely populated with botters, new people and alt accounts with untuned bots. Even then, it won't be that way the entire night. Shuffles do happen.

do you want to know what other game expects you to have team responsibility and play characters that are qualified for the situation your team needs

Via what means? Feeding the game with even more nonsense? Or every fagets suddenly felt remorse and all threw their bullshit back in sub-garage? Resha on strike? Eris/Ivis on holiday in Mauritius? Have melees suddenly lost all their ability to lagwarp? Or had their completely non-nonsensical damage or ability to stunlock removed in its entirety?

Nobody in their right mind expects jags to be as good as, say, I dont fucking know, Shino AC or some shit. The "tiers" itself isn't the problem, it's the blatant humongous gap between what one could call God Tier/S-Tier to whatever that sits below, the ease of use and effort/reward ratio in comparison to everything below. It has been evident that this god damn playerbase wants to put in the least amount of efforts for the highest amount of rewards (which is to be expected from a playerbase of 15-20yo toddlers, and 25yo is the new mentally-maturing age, sorry 18yos.), hence the game has gone in that exact direction over the last few years: Homing has become prevalent and "mainstream", as has full boost, as has melee shielding. The game has turned completely mindless in response to what the playerbase desires, or rather, has shown to desire basing on their ludicrous spending and acceptance to CS's absolutely disgusting business model, and you, every last one of you, have yourselves to thank for, give yourselves a nice pat on the shoulder, folks, what a great motherfucking job well done.

As good as it is, people can only see Alba and VE, which arguably are part of the problem. And 1s moe are just cannon fodders and rt sinks.

Which will mostly be thrown at gara, aggravating the issue further.

Which requires ludicrous amount of UC, encouraging people playing only to win for higher gains and roomhopping.

>4. balancing

Half ass attempt at balancing fuckjack that did fuckall, same with higher tier melees in general. The unholy trinity of Ivis/Resha/Eris are still by far the most influential factors in a match (add fudgejack and possibly Sylvia) despite all the "nerfing" and "balancing".

>5. freebies

As nice as it is, it makes no fucking difference...

Aside from parasol, which IMHO is poorly balanced, it being readily available only worsens the issue, see FC Seraph in the past for example.

A small step in the right direction but still does not alleviate the fact that the overall tuning success rates are unnecessarily low.

Enjoyed, past tense. I liked, and still like the game for what it is, or rather, what it once was. hey don't trashtalk the replicas. elisa shield, null shuriken, raven scythe glacial etc are all pretty good. i've been using the water gatling on my delder recently and it's actually pretty fun and usable.

also, i forgot to mention they're finally adding widescreen. i know a few guys who've been hurting for it.

I said they are nice, but ultimately fail to balance out all the other aspects of this hellspawn game.

nobody emphasizes "wow, my armed build arm is so good!" or "wow, i never knew saggi 1 was this good" or "jesus christ accel sabers are fast" or "oh my god i looooove tristar so much he's amazing"

it's always about "muh erip".

the solution is to make sure people know these units are actually good. write guides for them. advertise them. show them off in arena.

exposure is key.

It's a sad state of motherfucking affair when you have to counterpick to get anywhere. The rock-paper-scissors balance isn't meant to be the be-all end-all of survival and success in this game, but unfortunately, due to melees in general being poorly balanced, due to artillery players dunno how to position themselves and failing to do their job, due to air players being generally bad and unable to prioritize the right target or fend for themselves, due to support players not knowing how to actually support, it has nonetheless become this way. And more CS feeds these numbskulls with autoplay nonsense, the less reason they will have to actually learning how to play this game properly instead of letting this game play for itself.

rev the entire point of the rock paper scissors system is to make sure there are counters for these things in the first place.

no i honestly think that a player starting out should buy some decent units from shop before rolling gara so that if he fails he will still be able to fend for himself.

it's called a contingency plan.

however considering the game throws a free saggi 1 at you, it shouldn't be an issue in the first place.

In an unrealistically perfect world, the triangle shouldn't matter, each type should compliment the others perfectly. As it stands, however, with melee being overwhelming, with terrible art and support players being at the mercy of said melees and Air not being remotely useful (not that they really can do much against melees that can happily shrug off all damage, not to mention lagwarp), the balance just isn't there, resulted in counterpicking being the most effective method in dealing with it, hence a sad state of fucking affair.

I have to agree with rev here. Its the close-my-eyes-break-my-mouse braindead OP spammers the core of this problem. These guys don't give a dam at all about customization and different playstyle, trying out new stuff, etc. All they want to do is abuse game's faulty mechanic (lagshield), use whatever yields the highest point with the least amount of effort/brain-power needed. The most recent example you see is swarms and swarms of AG everywhere other than the beginner ruleset room. CB themselves are not helping the situation either for making these braindead effortless highscorers readily available thinking they're making some changes for the better.
