you have to skip the second outpost. you do the folcasta fields, run through the dark grey zones and then take RRR when you get to the glaciers

I just don't know how to read their table... (I know that the blue and red arrows are for when you enter the respective gates. I just don't know what them pointing down/up are supposed to mean. And yes, I've tried reading the instructions.)

Also, you may want to correct your first post. since the second color you used is Red, not Brown. ;P
