I only haz GIMP. It has magic wand tool, I select le white background and then I convert the color to transparency in the menu. But pictures still not transparent when I upload them and have ugly outlines. I try finding M.O.M.O-chan's picture in PNG format, but they no haz it ;n;

Upload them in PNG format and if you use Firefox and still sees whitebackground, use this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/transparent-standalone-imag/?src=api
