If I said "I always lie" and I am a liar, then that is a lie, which means "I never lie" but that would be a lie....... I can't seem to find a logical solution to this

your confusion is the result of a logic mistake. saying "i always lie" while being a liar isnt turning into " I never lie ". it is turning into " i always lie " being an untrue statement. this means simply just SOMETIMES lie.

if you want a logic contradiction you would need to rephrase it into something like this:
