FPS drops from Waste Nova

The purple explosions in Lurking Evil that inflict Waste Booster. For some reason they've begun dropping my FPS from 100+ to as low as "completely frozen". I've played it fine with this graphics card before (about two weeks ago, I believe) and haven't updated any drivers or anything since, so I'm a little confused as to what's causing it.

While I'm running through all my graphics settings wondering if I'll find some magical fix, any ideas? Or rather, is this a recent bug in a recent patch?

I've fixed mine via downgrading to the latest stable GPU driver release (was using beta ._.)

In your case, try re-installing your current.

Welp nevermind, turns out the problem was caused by antialiasing transparency. Turned that off and I don't lose so much as one frame now. Thanks anyway!

Err, supersampling? That setting seems bullshit if you ask me.
