How do I defeated bazooka jumpers?

So I joined CBJP last week, and immediately noticed that everybody...EVERYBODY, is using bazookas, and about half are using short boost. I managed to get around the bazooka part by not using any AIR, giving every single one of my bots Blast Guard, but...

...how do I defeat the Short Boost jumping? Is there some weapon that's actually accurate against them?

(Also note, if you don't bazooka jump, PLEASE don't start. It really detracts from the variety of the game when all your enemies use the exact same weapons.)

It's a smart thing to tell noobs not to use short boost. Really helps them NOT die faster.

There's nothing wrong with short boost. I don't understand why you wouldn't get it if it suits ur mech. Running flat on the ground = u die.

In comparison, today's metagame: fly in the air = You Die.

That said, this is something CyberStep has to take care of; nothing we can do on our end besides adapting until it is adjusted.

Lasers used to be really accurate in CBJP untill NERF

so far the way to deal with them is the minispider build, but that's hard to obtain

And then theres the possibility of machinegun/vulcan spam

Or use the vulcan unit/sniping unit wonderbit to deal with them

Or you can give up and not PvP.

Untrue, I recently got 3rd place using an Air bot in Crown room.

and at OP, I use a Zooka Hopper. Pretty easy to counter really, just get close.

Air definately does not = die.

This is what it should be rephrased as: Noob Air players = Die

Stardust cannon and plasma gun users are still doing fine in star rank rooms. One other factor is the laser nerf, the only reason hoppers are stronger now is because of that. I don't see why they nerfed lasers.

Plus the "spider build is easy to make -.- It's cheaper than a garapon roll.

AIR types can dominate solo if they have either zooks or Stardust Cannon(hoping for an M-sized version, just so Crim won't be food). Otherwise, they'll have to provide support.

Um, its not M sized, its S sized. And it fails. It's got less damage than a bazooka, it shoots much slower than a bazooka as well.

Really? So much for my Crim getting back at them...

pull em with girenaut gravity
Slow em with Web
suck em with combination drawgun and shotgun/zokas/anylolgunsthatyouknows
get safe hiding spot and shoot em with railguns/breaker/beam rifle/anylolrangeweapon
fight em with cardjumpers/zokasjumpers/anyloljumpersyoulike

best method, ivises zergling *smacked* (well this one wont happen in commercial hahahaha)

ok... all above are joke... im still thinkin bullet projectile are accurate enuf , or you might try wild shoot style with blasters/shotguns

Agree, "just get close". Though it might be unfavorable if his teammates are around him.

Or you can try aiming at his landing spot.

unless you use something like grenades.

How about rage machinegun? I've seen quite a number using that.

Drum is the best type of machine gun though machine guns are mostly terrible weapons :^(

if ur into those weapons its either drum machien gun, a double shot vulcan or a hand shot for cheaper mech.

I've been toying with the idea, and found that using an aerial melee attack with good vertical homing works well on them...too bad that's best done by AIR units, which get raped by close range 'zookas.

So far, the best strategy I've found is...

to kill hopping mechs with bazookas is EASY! get 2 rifles and spam! (oh wait thats garapon)


If i dont lag so damn hard in JP servers that i could easily miss those guys flying around slowly and even trees. >_>

i use Air and Lag still kill some of Jumka [Jumper+Zooka]
but it depend on type of bot i face, if it was Art then screw that.
either way is not face to face them, i mostly hit them when they shooting at someone else or rain tailwisp from above.

mostly i come face to face, i mostly die from stun blast of zookas not the damage.

i wish the short boost will be nerf in CBEN.... like cant attack while jumping, and that would be great....
no more jumping chaos.... and everyone will stuck on FLYing and ARTing....
but really... jumping makes you invincible is ridiculous....
