I've been meaning to create a thread for this for a while now, so here it is. The newest version of the game is Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code (abbreviated MBAACC, or just CC assuming the other person knows it's MeltyBlood). The game not only has a large character roster, each character has three separate fighting styles known as Crescent, Half, and Full Moon. It's made by French Bread/Type Moon.
You can download Current Code here
The game's worth checking out even if you're not usually a fan of fighting games. CAV and I both play, and if I remember correctly, Winty/Athena/utok do too.
I may also suggest downloading Hamachi, as it makes getting the correct IP and port easier for those less computer smart I guess :V
EDIT: Found another download link ( http://pastebin.com/UT6mWZqh ) which has a direct download for those not wanting to use torrents. It also includes a few guides and information about the game.

Do people STILL play F-Nanaya? He's boring to fight AND play against... Anyways, I play a cruel C-Mech. Although considered a bit worse than other characters, she's still got plenty of tools to preserve space, devastate enemies with quick meter gaining combos and loops, and versatile tools.
Sadly, her damage output lags behind when lag kicks in and combos are screwed up... Of course, that happens with everybody.
Characters I hate playing against are the Lens (Both normal AND white) and (V)-Sion.

I do badly with FRoa, CRies and FRies. Now I'm trying to learn FCiel, but that's going horribly.

Well, I've already formed a Hamachi network for CBFF people (network name: CBFF password: CBFF )
If you don't already have Hamachi, you can download it here It's fairly simple to setup, and the current network only has a limit of 5 people due to it's "free" status. But if more people join (we're currently at 4/5) I'll form extra networks

Alrighty then, who wants to be the first person to fight a person who sorta knows how to play a C-Neko Arc!?!? I can usually play in the mornings without a problem and maybe late nights as well.

I haven't played AA or AACC at all; I played MBAC back when that was new and haven't touched it since V:
(short answer: no)

oh... then never mind i guess...
I've been trying out the FMaids (AKA, interrupted CAV and Trill's battle. just for this info.) FMaids is fun but holy cow, it's so hard. But I need to learn them for something I'm not good at, and that's resource managing. I've also played a little CRoa again, trying to pick up on blockstrings to train on those and being more aggressive while maintaining a hard to break defense. (Also need to learn to anticipate guard breaks and unblockables.)

I badly want to learn F-Hime but her movement style and overall gameplay really makes it hard for me to pick her up. Her combos look fun, albeit harder than most I can do easily. Maybe I'll try her once I ever order a gamepad/fitan stick.

I want to learn CRoa, but it's like playing FLen, except requires alot more setups and a brain, so I just learned FVakiha. Dunkiha is too much fun, but so squishy.

I now realized the strong importance of FMaids. Holy cow, the diverse movement of each character makes them so fun to play like ice climbers from SSBM.
OH HEY, YOU GET COMBO'D AND THINK YOU'RE SAFE? HISUI CAN CHANGE THAT FOR YOU! WANT TO ATTACK FROM THE AIR? HAVE FUN DEALING WITH KOHAKU'S SLICE WHILE I GUARD BREAK YOUR FACE
