Actually, you can get UV reactive compounds in liquid form that "glow purple" under ultraviolet (black) light.. ones that don't appear to have a color under normal, visible light.

Such a thing is usually confined to 'raver chicks. (Ahh.. raver chicks.. I haven't been to one of those in a while. The last one I was at was in a cave. It was total chaos... even the security guards and cops were intoxicated out of their minds. One cop came up to me with a flashlight in his hand.. looking all serious.. and then he burst into hysterical laughter when my apathetic gaze met his.. (I did kinda stick out.. I was one of only three people dressed in all black at a rave.) He wandered off into the night and I never saw him again... Uh, what was I talking about.. oh, yeah.. purple hair.. some brunette chick there had the dye in her hair.. It looked normal until she got under the black lights and then it suddenly lit up fluorescent purple.)
