A new really hard platformer by Edward McMillen, the Indie Developer who brought you gross and difficult games like Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac.
This new game of his is called The End Is Nigh. Basically you play as a little blob-looking guy, who is one of the few remaining survivors of an apocalyptic event, who is out to make a friend in this torn landscape. Along the way, he goes to find other neat trinkets such as Game Cartridges.
The game is a platformer in the air of Meat Boy, and is just as difficult, except with a few different mechanics. Like for one, you don't have the levels on a World Map, but the levels are each interconnected. It even has secret levels that you can find in certain parts, NPCs in the form of ghosts, and warp areas to parts of old levels. Also you collect tumors as items that allow you to reach hidden areas too, and game cartridges to access minigames. Buckle up though, as for you're probably gonna die, A LOT, in this game. The levels seem to do well with the Post-Apocalyptic environment too.
