Sorry to double-post, but there's this really awesome thing I found that I wanted to share with you all.
I found this out while looking through some old Simpsons Comic Books I happen to own. Another one of those strange moments when The Simpsons appeared to have predicted the future.
Unfortunately, I could not find images of the said pages of the book online, so I had to resort to scanning the pages from my own copy of the said Simpsons Comic Book. They are still legible though, and this just helps better prove that this is legit. I'm kinda surprised that no one has ever mentioned this or picked up on this. Probably because the Simpsons Comics are less popular than the TV Show, but still it's an interesting find, and it's cool that I'm the first to notice this!

This comes from a Simpsons Comic Book, titled
Simpsons Comics Madness, which like many other Simpsons Comic Books, is a compilation of a bunch of short Simpsons Comics.
One part of the book had a segment involving the animators of Itchy and Scratchy, discussing a bunch of rejected spinoffs about
Poochie The Dog. If you don't know who that is, Poochie was a short-lived character in Itchy and Scratchy on The Simpsons, who was like an anthropomorphic skater dude dog. Unfortunately, he was not well received by the viewers, and because of that, was then abruptly killed off in the scene of "
I HAVE TO GO NOW, MY PLANET NEEDS ME!"
This segment showcased a bunch of these rejected Poochie Spinoff concepts. As you can see here on the comic, most of them referenced existing shows, like "Astro Poochie" (Astro Boy), and "Pooch Fink," (Rat Fink), and "The Smoochies" (The Smurfs).
But one that didn't really stick out, until now, was this one seen in the center.
This one was called "
One-Punch Poochie," and it depicted Poochie as a muscle-bound superhero-like character with a cape and a mighty fist.
Do you know who that is like?
That's right! Our favorite, bald, overpowered hero, Saitama, or as he's also known as, ONE-PUNCH MAN!
The said scene even has Poochie in a similar pose to some scenes of Saitama, jumping outwards with his fist clenched!
Although there are some differences, like a different color scheme for him, and him not being bald, though that would probably be to make it still resemble Poochie, and because a Dog character would look too weird if he was bald.
But that's not where this gets weird.
The Simpsons Comics Madness book was published in
2002! I have a scan of the publishing info page below to help prove it. If any of you own your own copy of Simpsons Comics Madness too, you'll see what I mean! It's legit!
But One-Punch Man wasn't a thing until
2009! Yes, I know that One-Punch Man was originally a webcomic before it was an anime, and I'm actually referring to the Webcomic's release date. That's 7 years AFTER this comic was made!
Sure, the other things that these Poochie Spinoffs reference, like Astro Boy, Rat Fink, The Smurfs, etc, were already around back then, BUT NOT ONE-PUNCH MAN!
So do you know what that means?
THE SIMPSONS ACTUALLY PREDICTED SAITAMA!!!Isn't this bizzare?
And I thought that it was weird when The Simpsons predicted stuff like Donald Trump's presidency, Grease Stealing, A Left-Handed objects store, a 3-eyed fish, and other such future occurences, but One-Punch Man, of all things?!
